L.D.Q.A. -- 5/14

Welcome to my first ever "Lost" Diary Q&A (The L.D.Q.A. for short). Between the comments on this site, TMZ, and almost 200 emails of questions I got, we should have plenty of material.

As you can tell, I tried to stay away from questions like "What happened to Mike and Walt?" or "What happened to Rose and Bernard?" I don't have the answers to those questions and I'd really just be guessing. Given the overall tone of the "Lost" Diary, I picked questions that immediately made me react -- either because they made me laugh or made me scream.

I had no one to spell check or read over this, so pardon me if there are a few misspellings.

Hope you guys enjoy reading this because I loved reading all your emails. Here we go:

Q: Do you type as you watch and then edit the entire thing or does it go out raw just as you typed it while watching? – Mimi

A: Every reaction and prediction I have, I write down as soon as I have them. The play-by-play stuff and some of the jokes I add in later. Sometimes I want to go back and take out my bad predictions, but you got to take the good with the bad.

Q: I LOVE reading your post on TMZ after I watch Lost! I want to hang out w/ you! Is that weird? – Paige

A: Maybe just a little.

Q: Do you read all the comments on your blog?  It takes me a while to read them, I find them facinating, but you have a huge following.  Just wondering if you read them all.  Thanks! – James & Melissa

A: Yes, I read all the comments. But this week – my God!!! You guys wrote more comments than ever before and even I got a little lost. And you also got a little off track, which I love. Like this one…

Q: Would Richard or Sawyer make your “Top 5” List? In case you don't remember, on “Friends” Ross asks Rachel that if she could sleep with ANYONE and not have it matter for any reason, living or dead, who would be on her list? -- Casey

A: I used to have a list just like this, but I don’t have one anymore. It’s just one person: Jennifer Love Hewitt. Jennifer, if you’re a “Lost” fan, call me! There’s plenty of room on the couch for you.

Q: Do you think we’ll have anymore flashbacks of Juliet naked in bed?

A: One can only hope.

Q: “Lost” is not afraid to kill of people, how would you feel if Henry and Locke both died? – Laura.

A: Besides wearing all black to work the next day, I honestly don't know what I would do. Laura, if this actually happens, I am blaming you.

Q: So if I may be so bold as to suggest some party locations in the West Coast since the Day of the Dead Charlie is fast approaching:  Dodger Stadium parking lot, an airplane hanger,  the beach (appropriate) or perhaps Griffith Park (oh wait, its half gone!).   There are quite of few of us planning to attend. When is Charliepalooza exactly? – Janice.

A: When I first wrote about the Charlie party, I think I had maybe a few thousand readers. Now that this Diary has gotten bigger, I don’t think I can afford this little party. We’re going to have make it BYOB.

Q: First of all, great articles on TMZ, I wait every week for them, and often wonder while I'm watching the show: "WWDT" (What Will Daniel Think) about certain issues and scenes that come up while watching Lost.  I'm thinking of printing bumper stickers.  Wonder if it would catch on? – Amanda

A: Probably not, but I think you’re on to something.

Q: Explain the Ben/Henry Gale (or Benry as some call him) thing. – Marc.

A: Ok, first of all I hate “Benry.” I think that name sounds stupid. Henry Gale was the name he had when we first met him, and, I don’t know, I just like it better than Benjamin Linus. It’s a matter of preference I guess. Plus, now everyone who reads the “Lost” Diary can use it as a way of knowing who read the Diary and who doesn’t. I think we’re the only ones still calling him Henry Gale.

Q: I hate Jack. Discuss. – Brett

A: He is a tad whipped these days, isn’t he? I think every character has a different journey on the island, and depending on where they are on that journey makes them more or less likeable (like Locke last season when he had no balls). I think Jack will make a comeback and I think it will happen soon.

Q: What is with Mikhail’s eye patch?!?!   Why would they give him an eye patch? – Cathy

A: Anytime someone wears an eye patch, their coolness factor doubles. So why not give him an eye patch?

Q: I started your reading you blog a couple of months ago.  I would like to go back and read your analyses of seasons 1 & 2.  Are they archived?  When did you start doing this? – Carla

A: I started halfway through season 2 and they all appeared on TMZ. But when we switched publishing platforms, I lost a lot of them. I am going to try and go back and re-publish them all here, but it’s going to take some time. Stay tuned.

Q: Who is supposed to be taking care of Vincent?  How come no one has ever steps in dog poop since there is no one to clean it up?  Why hasn't he been eaten by a polar bear or gored by a boar?  -- Laura

A: Shannon seemed to be taking care of Vincent once Walt left, but nowadays I don’t know. Got to assume he’s picked a favorite spot in the jungle and does his business there. And I would assume he could outrun a boar or a polar bear. He’s a crafty little dog.

Q: Do you believe based on what we learned this week, that there is a connection with Henry (Ben's) mother dying in child birth, and the fact that women cannot carry a child to term, and deliver on the island? -- Renee

A: A few people suggested this and I think it's a FANTASTIC THEORY. Henry Gale obviously grew up feeling guilty about his mom’s death, so he somehow projected that onto every woman on the island. A lot of people suggested this connection and I really like it. Could be the kind of thing that gets revealed during a later Henry Gale flashback.

Q: Did you notice that Richard looked exactly the same age in the flashback as he does now? I mean, sure, it could just be a poor job by the make-up artists, but what is up with that? – Jessica

A: Ari and I argued over this one for a long time. Is it possible that Richard doesn’t age? Yes, of course. But it looked to me like they tried to make Richard look younger (with the longer hair), but maybe they didn’t do a great job. So while it looked like Richard didn’t age, and that is probably the case, I am not completely sold on it.

Q: Since Henry was really with the Dharma Initiative in the beginning, was he just acting like he didn't know anything about pushing the button every 108 minutes (season 2) & did they not know what happened when the button didn't get pushed in time (because of Locke)? – Coleman

A: You would think Henry Gale knew about the Hatch, but he might not have known what exactly went on inside there. It’s possible he got “captured” on purpose so that he could see what went on inside the Hatch – but yet it wouldn’t have made sense for Henry Gale to try and talk Locke out of pushing the button since he had no clue what it did. It doesn’t quite add up.

Q: I think Ben couldn't see Jacob at all.  I think he was pretending.  Evidence?  Ben didn't know what Jacob said to Locke. – Tim

A: I think people can only hear Jacob when he’s talking to them. Locke didn’t hear Jacob when he was talking to Henry Gale, and Henry couldn’t hear him when he was talking to Locke. Just a thought.

Q: Did the Hostiles usurp the Initiative both on and off the island? -- Erik

A: Before we knew the Others killed all the Dharma people, I used to think that Dharma didn’t know what was going on on the island – or who was doing it. Now, I don’t know who is running things off the island. Sounds  like the subject for a future flashback.

Q: Ben is smart but must forget things. Locke was shot just below the heart on the left side. Normally a fatal shot because it shreds the kidney. But Locke gave his kidney to his father so the bullet would pass through and Locke will heal.

A: Wow, now we're taking things to a whole other level. But is it at all possible that Henry Gale didn't want to kill Locke. I mean, if he did, wouldn't he have shot him in the head? Maybe it's all a test of some kind.

Q: And, for those ppl that come on here praising how "superior" Heroes is to Lost ... with your attention spans you will be griping about Heroes when it too is in its third or fourth season. (Heroes is a good show too, but quit comparing them already.) -- Miss Smith

A: My friend Matt and I had this argument a month of two ago. I love "Heroes," it's a great show. But the first season of "Heroes" isn't as good as the first season of "Lost" and I don't think it's fair to compare a show's first season with a different show's third. Let's see if "Heroes" can keep it going for several seasons.

Q: What is your favorite television character of all time? Here's my top 5: -- Mattattack

1. John Locke
2. Tony Soprano
3. George Costanza
4. Jebediah Bartlett
5. Jean-Luc Picard

A: Wow, another tough one. I am going to leave "Lost" characters out of it. I am sure I will forget a few, but:

1. Al Swearengen ("Deadwood")
2. Vic Mackey ("The Shield")
3. Jack Bristow ("Alias")
4. Leo McGarry ("The West Wing")
5. Veronica Mars ("Veronica Mars")

Q: Hmm.. you know, I dont really mind Charlie..... -- ?!?!?!?!

A: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Alright, hope you liked the first edition of the L.D.Q.A. Drop me a comment and let me know if it worked for you. I hope to do two more leading up to the end of the season. If all goes well, I think we can make it a weekly thing while "Lost" is off the air as our way to "keep in touch" while it's gone.

I can't wait to get this party started Daniel!

Re Richard - I don't think it was a poor job by the makeup department...when Richard walked into Ben's tent, Ben told him it was his birthday, then he said 'you remember birthdays don't you' or something to that effect. So, I just assumed later that he didn't age anymore, I mean he had to age at one point otherwise he wouldn't be an adult now.
Great column!

LostLilOne- I noticed that but I thought it was more of a refrence to the fact that Lockes father never remembered his birthday. I guess like everything on Lost only time will tell.

I think Richard doesn't age and vaguely remembers birthdays, because he is a ghost, or something like that, just like Jacob. Have we ever seen him at night or in the dark?? couldn't see Jacob until Locke turned on the flashlight either. Could explain why richard was surprised when young Henry said he 'saw' his dead mother.

ooops I ment Henery's father never remembered his birthday. "I am sure Locke's never remembered his."

I like the new column, I'll be a regular reader for this one too. =) I can't believe you read all the comments last week, must have took forever! Thanks for all your great recaps. I'm not to fond of "Benry" myself...

i'm thinking that once you get to a certain age or come to a certain point in your journey on the island you stop aging ie. richard (with his long hair and jack sparrow-ish black liner) and mikhail (with his eye patch), were they once a pirates that came on the black rock but are somehow still around?? whataya think??

Daniel, I am a huge fan of your blog, but can I just say (and I will) that your coolness factor just went up a thousand percent with listing Al Swearengen as your #1! Deadwood was lost on many that it is good to know that there are others out there that truly appreciated its greatness.

I have to agree with Tristan Al Swearengen is the greatest choice Leo McGerry was pretty good to. Daniel you are very cool!

When do you think Jack's Tattoo ("He walks among us but he is not one of us") will come into play again?

one more thing...what are the chances that ben is sabatoging the pregnant women so that no one babies are born?? this would ensure that no new babies are born with a "special" connection to the island. thus protecting his hold over the others. besides that, maybe he's nutso and thinks if his mom didnt survive his birth then no one else should.

Hi Daniel. Love the idea for this column. Yours is the only Lost blog (well, any blog for that matter) that I read. And the email about "WWDT" made me laugh. It's so true.

Have a great week. See you on Thursday, brutha!

So being a bit of a geek I took politcal philosphy in University and we learned a lot about Lcok, Hobbes and Rousseau (the philosophy of human nature)on "Lost" we have Locke and Rousseau - but I ask where is Hobbes? Has anyone else thought of this?

Some other cool TV characters.....

Alex P. Keaton ("Family Ties")
David Brent ("The Office", British version)
Larry David ("Curb")
Niles Crane ("Frasier")
Jack Bauer ("24")
Rudy Huxtable ("Cosby Show")

On the comment about sabatoging all pregnancies....In one way it makes sense b/c HG obviously wants to be the leader on the island BUT why would he bring Juliette to the island then??

Ooops - great spelling "lcok" should be Locke

looks like all you charlie haters might get your dream come true...

Daniel, I thought the same thing about Ricahrd (eyeliner dude) not aging. Is it just a bad makeup job? Or, something like how Locke's Dad doesn't appear to be old enought to be his dad. Was this just bad casting or does it mean someting?

Anyway, it's great to not have to wait till Thursday to talk about Lost with all the other crazy obsessed fans like myself. I hope to recognize some people from the TMZ boards because we have good chats over there.

so, it may be the chemist in me, but i have a theory that all the gas they released the in the air when The Hostiles purged the Dharma folk may have had some degenerative effect on the reproductive systems on The Hostiles. think about it. it the gas killed off a whole village, what do you think it did to the internal organs of The Hostiles? they only wore masks, and this could explain Henry's tumor, the fast healing on the island, etc.

OH DANIEL! Did you see the interview someone posted with Michael Emerson? It was posted on http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/ If any of you haven't, it's a must.

this whole thing with Richard and the make-up doesn't make sense... they made ben's father age perfectly well, wrinkles and all. i doubt the make up people messed up - it was deliberate to make him look the same.

Once again, you've done a great job, definitly keep it up. I think all the of us will be on this site to get our Lost fix when the season ends.

I don't think the makeup dept is to blame for the fact that Richard hasn't aged, the writers know that we are obsessed with every detail, no matter how small or large, we nit-pick everything..there must be a reason...just like there must be a reason there was a new washer and dryer combo in the hatch...these things are not by chance, not with this show.

No, i agree with you all that Lost doesn't make mistakes. I am pretty sure Richard has some weird thing where he doesn't age or no one ages after a certain point or SOMETHING!

SPOILER

Went to the link provided above by Gracie and read who 3 of the 5 to die are. I was going to post but I think it is better to let people know that if they want to know they can go look. I will say 3 are men and 1 of them is a lostie ........ happy days Daniel

I don't think Richard (Nestor Carbonell) wears eyeliner. I remember him looking the same when he was on Suddenly Susan and take a look at his pictures on imdb (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004801/). Daniel, thanks for the LDQA!

Just to get the record straight, because it may not have come across as such, I was the one arguing the point with Dan that Richard definitely didn't age and that would be a storyline in the show and there is no way the makeup people f'ed up that bad. Dan was the one arguing that aging younger is difficult to accomplish and maybe we had to give the makeup artists some leniency. I just wanted to post to let everyone know who was arguing what point, since I am definitely right.

Also Dan is shy and modest but I will gladly take bribes to allow someone the opportunity to watch the season finale at my house with our crew.

(Ed.'s note: Way to throw me under the bus, pal!)

I agree with the comment about the pregnancy troubles NOT being planned on the women by Henry Gale since Juliet was brought over for help. But Juliet is shady, she may have been lying about her altuistic fertility work. Did anyone else besides Juliet say that all the pregnant women on the island die? This pregancy issue plays a big role in the unfolding story, what do you guys think about it?

LMAO@ ARI I agree he did not age.

So Im on the bandwagon with the pirate theories. I dont think the makeup people made a mistake not having Richard age. I believe it was intentional. Also it seemed to be a give away in the writing when Henry asked him "U still remember Birthdays dont u!?"

Also with Mikhail. Do you think the Others let Locke beat him up because they know Mikhail cant be injured. Perhaps he too is one of the pirates from the ship along with Richard.

Daniel THANKS 4 posting the comment about John being shot where his kidney would be located. VERY interesting!

(((((hugs to all the lost fans))))

Loved reading all the questions and answers :) And thanks Gracie for the link! I watched the video with Michael Emerson, and he basically confirmed what someone had mentioned before, about Locke's missing kidney helping him. He also hinted that he doesn't believe they're in purgatory, but more like a science or science fiction kind of thing.

I am soooo looking forward to this Wednesday!!!

A few comments:

Richard has definitely NOT aged. Too important a detail for the Lost producers to overlook.

The pirate theory sounds goofy.

Did you notice the reporter interviewing Michael Emerson had no clue what he was talking about when he mentioned Locke's "medical condition?" She obviously was familiar only with the info in her prep notes, namely that Locke had been paralyzed.

I would be surprised to discover that Henry had anything to do with killing Annie. She was the ONLY piece of happiness in his childhood.

I think those of us that call HG "Benry" say it as a term of endearment not necessarily to make him sound stupid as the name "Benry" obviously is-hehe, but we just love him so much, it's like when you give your quircky uncle a funny nickname, anyway sorry to offend ;)

Luv ya Daniel!

Daniel, good job on the LDQA, Love It. Just as funny as your diary. I especially love how these past few episodes have been giving us more and more stuff to ponder and talk about. Lots of great folks to discuss this with. Love u guys!

The possible Annie/Kate thing...WOW! Never saw that one coming. The possible Jacob/BlackRock/Richard theory, I can't quite get my head around it, but it sounds good!

Thanks for posting my question regarding Charliepalooza...which was when exactly?! Don't worry, I'm bring booze and hotwings!

If anyone wants to know when Charliepalooza is, check out Gracie's link! It's buried in the text, not on the Michael Emerson clip. So it could be season 3 or 4... but you will definitely know for sure!

Thanks Daniel, I really enjoyed the Q&A. Can't wait to read the blog on Thursday!

My apologies to Daniel (and all) on posting a spoiler link. I OBVIOUSLY had a momentary lapse in judgement. I really wasn't even thinking about it being a spoiler site, I was just really excited about Henry's interview. I got carried away.

Wow Dan, you know how to go above and beyond to keep us Lost fans happy. Thank you very much for everything you do for us!! I am wondering when we're going to find out more about what Locke's Dad said before Sawyer did the deed. It was something about "his SONS". Hmmm...one of those things that make you think.

Love the new Monday diary, missed the date for Q&A. But still wanted to know if you or anyone else thought Jacob looked like Hal Linden? I googled him and he was available to shoot scenes around that time.

I have to agree with Paige. Besides watching Lost your funny, insightful and spend time with your mother C'mon what girl wouldn't want to hang out with you??

I sure hope you're wrong about Sawyer being vulnerable. I dream of him every Wed. night after watching LOST. Watched since day one and would hate to not see him on the island, though he needs to stop being a "player" I also miss the nicknames!!!!

YIKES - I was on vacation camping in the mountains last week - in an RV and tried desperately to get LOST using antenna - in a panic!!! (hmm-m-m - do I need to get a life???). Needless to say - couldn't pick up any channels. So glad I can turn to YOU and get the play by play!! Thank you, thank you!

i missed it...what's the Annie/Kate connection?

You can always watch missed eposides on in ABC.com But, Daniel's work too.

Do you think the island is really a kind of heaven/hell place? I mean, Henry Gale's dead mother was there, everyone "at home" thinks the plane crash people are dead, Jack's father appeared, etc....

Ben's daughter (can't remember her name right now.) Maybe she isn't Rousseau's daughter. What if we have just been assuming that. Could it be Annie's?

yeah, Lauren, I missed it too. What is the Annie/Kate connection you all refered to?

GUYS!!!!! Less than 12 hours to go. LOL But then we are almost at the end of the season. Oooooo Nooooooo. I wish I could get pregnant during the Season finale. My baby would be born right in time for us to pick up where we left off with the Losties. I would name him/her Chaaaaaley in memory of the poor wanker.

Will someone please explain the Annie/Kate thing??? Im dying to know.

Here you go Bobbi!!! It was from the spoiler site:

I saw a theory on the Internet pertaining to the May 9th episode of Lost, saying that Annie is Kate. The website offered some pretty convincing pictures/explanations. I really want to hear your thoughts on the theory and thought it would be perfect for your next article, where you offer a hint about the upcoming episode and explore theories. —IgotofightclubonFridays

DOC JENSEN REPLIES: 1. Nice theory — a popular theory — but don't you think Kate is too young to be Annie all grown up? 2. Nice screen name! Say hello to Tyler for me this Friday, will you? 3. The other popular theory is that The French Lady — dANNIElle — is actually Annie. Hmmm...

yeah but how can she be French?

I mean I think Beney is meant to be in his 40's? So I don't see it. Kate must be like 25 or so.

I meant Benry, and I apologize to Daniel but I do like the Beney name myself.

Just wanted to say how much I love this blog. Great work Daniel and thanks to all you lost fans for posting such great questions and comments. I so look forward to reading the lost diary. It's great hearing other people's opinions and theories. Please continue your great work Daniel :>)

Hi Daniel,
Lost is the only show I watch. Yours is the only blog I read. I'm addicted to both. I loved the Q&A. Keep up the good work!
Jodi in NYC

JB, maybe ben brought juliette to the island to make the others think he's trying to do something about the problem and not really behind it all.

sorry dan, ari's right. if richard is roughly the same age as ben, give or take 5 years, then they wouldnt have bothered trying to use makeup to make him look younger, they would have just used a kid/teenager like they did with ben. its definately a clue.

last post, i promise. for those of you who were asking about the kate/annie thing, here ya go.

http://www.freewebs.com/tyco815/index.htm

oh and about kate being the wrong age to be annie...isn't there a theory out there of a time wrinkle or something?? maybe it only takes place when you leave the island...and maybe thats why richard hasn't aged...he was on the mainland to recruit juliette.

It also explains how easy it was for Kate's mom to turn her back on her and turn her in when she killed her step dad. She wasn't really Kate's mom?

Buttercup-I don't think the whole "Richard not aging/being on the mainland" thing has anything to do with Kate not being old enough to be Annie (in relation to Ben's age, that is). It does seem that Annie would be a little older and even older still if we assume that Annie left the island at some point to grow up to be Kate. I would think that she would then seem even older than Ben because she would have been away from the "anti-aging" forces of the island. Hmmm. I've just confused myself. Well, as with everything LOST...time will tell.
FIVE HOURS TO GO!

i can't WAIT!

LOL... I just finished watching it (this week's). I could just hear Daniel in my head the whole time.. I think I can imagine most of what he will write! :-X
Funny story regarding Rousseau... my hubby said after last week's episode that maybe she is Annie. So I asked, "well then what's with the french accent?" And he said... I kid you not... "well maybe she went to France and got french!". Bwahaha! (yes, he had had a few beer). See ya tomorrow on the next blog! Love it!

Go to the bathroom now. It's almost time!! Sorry, it's a mom thing!

LOL Kristine... what time do all you guys watch it? I'm in Canada and get to see it at 8pm Eastern time... seems like a lot of you don't see it until later. Guess I should consider myself lucky!

OH MY LORD!!! Come on Daniel, this was done just because of you surely!!!!!! I mean, look at how the other guys died....it was all so sudden...then Charlie gets a big send off - a whole episodes worth...and THEN - haha they don't kill him! Bastards! The powers that be are teasing you!
For the record Lost shows late here (Barbados) and often I miss it and have to wait to download it the next day...but I cannot wait to watch it...I often read you on tmz before i watch the episode...sure there are spoilers but I just LOVE your wit...does this make me less of a Lost fanatic??

Ha, Julie may be right Daniel. Charlie is a hero after all.

Daniel, I knew I liked you! Jack Bristow is my all time favorite!

I love the Q&A...you are amazing :)Too bad I don't live in LA to go to your party :( But I must say...I like Charlie...especially after last night's episode. he made me cry!
At least he now has a purpose, to save everyone on the island. maybe you can cut him some slack now...LOL.

As for Richard and the aging, I agree with what another poster said...he is the same age he was, if not, they would've used another actor like they did with henry.

Last night freaking Lost made me care about freaking Chaaaalie whom I loath with a passion! LOL. People I have talked to felt last night's episode was too drawn out and then a let down. I liked it a lot but I did feel a bit like I missed the payoff. What do you all think?

oh and there was not enough Sawyer.......

Ok Daniel I am sorry but if they kill off Charlie after last nights episode my shrieks will break every piece of glass in the midwest! Ugh how HEARTBREAKING!!!
I could barely even watch it through the waterfalls flowing down my cheeks!

Alison- I agree tho it didnt seem like there was much of a payoff BUT that seems so typical when its the second last episode of the season.
And no where NEAR enough Sawyer! :o)

OMG, I was totally crying last night, too. My husband just shook his head. ;-)

SarahZ: hopefully Sawyer will be doing a lot of fighting with his shirt off in the season finale.

Does Juliet's pouting lips come natural or does she do that for effect? Every time she makes the pouty-lip face I want to smack the crap out of her.

Daniel: I can't believe how people are attacking you on TMZ for your Charlie hate. IT'S YOUR DAMN BLOG!!!!!!!! Keep writing whatever you want. We love you just the way you are.
alison

Maybe the Island has some kind of magical voodoo that doesn't make people age???????

I think that Annie is that blonde at the end of last night episode when Charlie came out of the water. I bet she was the one that was pointing the first gun at him. Ben probably put her down there right before he killed all of the Dharma people. What do you think????

You are lucky you get to see Lost at 8pm!!!! I am in Michigan and it doesn't come on until 10pm!!!!!!!! I hate it. They said that maybe next year they will play it at 9pm like they used to. Anyone watching the Lost special tonight after Grey's Anatomy????

I bet anything we will see Annie die while pregnant with Ben's baby next year

Alison- Did u catch him on The View today? OH MY GOD :o) Find it on YouTube if you didn't see it.

thank you for posting the Q&A regarding Heroes. i am so sick of the comparisons and people bashing Lost against Heroes,i have never seen HEROES and don't have anything against it i am sure it is a good show but i get irritated with the bashing!!!

The whole Richard and the aging thing. A few episodes back Richard came to Juliet's door and asked her to look at some x-rays and he asked her what she saw. She said she saw the body of a 70 year old women & Richard's reponse was "yes, but she is really 23." Remember?? I might have the ages wrong...but clearly there is something going on with the Hostess and aging or the Island in general and aging. But so far we only know about 2 people that aren't aging & we know Richard is a hostel..have to assume the girl in the x-rays is one as well. So what drives me nuts is who are these hostels? Why were they banished from the area that the Dharma people were living in? Maybe these hostels are "bad experiments" gone wrong...or right?
Ohh I LOVE this show!! And I agree with Alison about Juliet's lips...someone needs to smack that smirk off her face!!

For Katie, who mentioned the philosophers...Lost also has Desmond David Hume. David Hume was a philosopher too.

When Locke's dad said 'haven't you figured it out yet - don't you know where we are', do you think he knew what was happening on the island, or did he really think he was already dead and in hell? Also, do you work for TMZ? Sorry I think you might have answered that one already but I can't remember! Love the Q&A and your Blogs!

Back to the Kate/Annie thing - what if Kate doesn't age?

Some stuff:

Charlie has a LATE tatoo on his hand, because he's the white rabbit from alice in wonderland - and the sequel to AIW is "through the looking glass" the looking glass is a portal to another world...

The brunette chick in the looking glass station (2nd woman) is the woman sawyer conned, the one who helped kate, and the mother of his child...

Women die in childbirth on the island, because ben's mom died in childbirth with him, and he is somehow manifesting that fate to all the women on the island, unintentionally. so if he dies...sun will live...

richard isn't wearing eyeliner, he always looks like that, all gorgeous and whatnot.

do the women die during childbirth?? i thought it was said that they died around the 5th month. anyone know for sure??

Alias is one of my other favorite shows, and Jack Bristow was the best. If you other Losties haven't watched that show, then I recommend you do so this weekend!
