Pilot, Part I and II
A friend of mine asked me this weekend, "What's it going to be like writing about 'Lost' when you already know everything? Isn't that the fun?" And all I could say was, "I don't know."
I honestly have no idea how this is going to turn out. It may be funny. It may be interesting. It may be insightful. It may be none of those things. I kind of like not knowing how this will turn out. Let's roll:

00:00 -- Hey, they didn't begin the show with "Previously on 'Lost.'" Ohhhhh, right.
00:01 -- Watching these first few minutes again, I can't believe everyone doesn't watch "Lost." Jack just wandering through the forrest and then stumbling upon a bunch of screaming people and some flaming wreckage ... just an awesome way to begin a show.
00:04 -- As Jack flies around the crash scene, it's easy to see why everyone followed him in the beginning. Makes the time on the show when he was such a pussy that much more frustrating.
00:06 -- "Yeah, good idea. You go get me a pen." -- Jack. Two things: 1) we saw Boone looking for a pen in the Nikki/Paulo flashback episode and 2) I always kinda liked Boone.
00:07 -- Someone emailed me the other day saying when they first came across the premiere of "Lost," they thought it was a movie. Not hard to see why.
00:08 -- And a piece of flaming wreckage almost hit Charlie. Think of how different life would have been. Sigh.
00:10 -- The first innocent conversation between Jack and Kate. They used to be so good together. Sucks to know now they'll never make it.
00:11 -- First shot of Sawyer, smoking and looking tough. Wow, his hair used to be a lot shorter. Quite possibly the only castaway on the island to undergo any kind of physical transformation. Besides Claire giving birth, of course.
00:14 -- Ah, the fear story. It was so awesome when this came back up at the early part of season three. I like a show that acknowledges its history.
00:15 -- "If that had been me, I'd have been running for door." -- Kate. Yes, yes she would have.
00:16 -- "As if I'm going to start eating chocolate." -- Shannon. Her I do not miss.
00:17 -- Ah, Michael and Walt. Missed you guys. They both look sooo much younger.
00:18 -- Obviously I know they crashed on the island in a plane, but it feels like so long ago that the plane crash was of any importance to anything.
00:19 -- And our first sign that the island is not quite normal -- it's growling. And bending trees. It all begins so simply ...
00:21 -- And now we're on the plane, a sort of mini-flashback. Cindy the flight attendant is flirting with Jack. Traitor!
00:22 -- As a couple of people get lifted off their seats and thrown in the roof of the plane, I remember now why I buckle my seat belt whenever that little light comes on.
00:24 -- Man, of all the things I might do in life, I really hope one of them is not trying to find a corpse with my shoe size.
00:25 -- "You think we should do something about the B-O-D-Y-S?" -- Hurley. Stupidity always equals comedy.
00:26 -- I respected Charlie a little more when he was an arrogant heroin addict.
00:28 -- As we get a glimpse of Locke sitting on the beach, our first thoughts were probably, "That guy is weird." Little did we know that he had just miraculously been given the use of his legs again. What must be going through his mind right now ...
00:30 -- Jack and Kate went to the cockpit to try and find a transceiver so that they could get rescued. Charlie is looking for smack. Priorities.
00:31 -- Man, it used to be easy to break open cockpit doors.
00:32 -- Ladies and gentlemen, it's Greg Grunberg from "Heroes" as our pilot. I, at the time, knew him from "Alias." His only purpose here is to tell how f'ed the Losties are and die a marvelous death. Can't wait.
00:33 -- "Where's Charlie?" -- Jack. Just off scoring smack from the bathroom.
00:34 -- Uh oh, that's the sound of your death Mr. Grunberg. Thanks for the cameo. Don't worry, you'll get on a hit show soon.
00:36 -- The monster sure acts a lot differently now then it used to. Randomly picking up the pilot and killing him -- not it's MO. Well maybe it just needed time to adjust to the Losties.
00:37 -- Charlie falls down and gets his foot stuck in what amounts to some twigs and Jack goes back to help him. Man, even in the pilot Charlie was destined to die.
00:38 -- The camera shot of Kate crying and screaming in the rain -- one of the seminal shots of "Lost." I am of the belief that women always look good in the rain.
00:39 -- "1, 2, 3, 4, 5." -- Kate.
00:40 -- Random question: what determines the weather on the island -- God or Jacob?
00:41 -- "How does something like that happen?" -- Charlie. Brutha, you're going to be wondering that for awhile.
---------
00:01 -- I rather like the "on the plane flashbacks" as sort of an introduction the plot device. I am just on the edge of my seat waiting for the back of the plane to rip off.
00:02 -- Is his shoe really the best place Charlie could think of to hide his heroin? How didn't he get busted by security?
00:03 -- And again, how close was Charlie to nearly biting the dust? Desmond's premonitions probably go waaaaaaay back.
00:04 -- Shannon is in a bikini, tanning on the beach. Oh, right -- that's why she was on the show.
00:05 -- Again, it's funny what you kind of forget -- Sun "can't speak English" and Jin hates everyone.
00:07 -- Sawyer and Sayid are going at it. This the equivalent of "Lost" porn for Lauren.
00:09 -- "Shut up, lardo." -- Sawyer. The first of many insults.
00:11 -- Sayid fought in the Gulf War, just not for our side. Always liked that scene.
00:12 -- Kate in a bra and panties ... also one of the seminal shots in "Lost" history, but for different reasons.
00:12 -- What would "Lost" be if they couldn't film where they do? Hawaii is underrated, if possible.
00:14 -- Kate is headed into the woods with Sayid to try and find higher ground. She used to kick ass.
00:16 -- Watching Jin and Hurley try and communicate is just hysterical. How do you say "dude" in Korean?
00:17 -- Seeing Walt just reminds me what a great character he could have been. I really hope they bring him back.
00:19 -- Shannon was such a bitch. The one thing I don't like about the direction the show has taken is that every one of the Losties is at least somewhat likeable. I liked it better when Sawyer was just an asshole, Charlie was a drug addict, Jin was a controlling bastard and Shannon was bitch. Gave the show some flavor.
00:20 -- Man, that is some cliff they are scaling. I can't believe Shannon didn't die right there.
00:22 -- Locke and Walt, ironic since we just saw the finale of season three.
00:23 -- "You're having a bad month." -- Locke. He's so good with kids.
00:24 -- "Walt, do you want to know a secret? -- Locke. He knew about the island before the rest of them.
00:27 -- And Sawyer just shot a polar bear. God I love this show.
00:30 -- Alright, I am probably repeating myself a bit here, but since the show hasn't really kicked into gear yet, I am left with first impression. Kate used to be awesome. Now all she does is whine and get held at gunpoint. I hope she makes a resurgence next season.
00:32 -- So we just learned Kate is the felon. The "what did Kate do?" question used to be a great one. I remember dying to know what it was.
00:34 -- Our first camera shot of the plane ripping in half. I saw the promos leading up to the premiere of "Lost" roughly 7,000 times and some shots are etched in my head. That one is certainly #1.
00:36 -- The French transmission: Ahhh, the memories.
00:37 -- "Please help me. Please come get me. I am alone now. I am on the island alone. Please someone come. The others, they're dead. It killed them. It killed them all." -- Shannon.
00:38 -- The message has been playing for 16 years. Not a real glimmer of hope, is it?
00:39 -- "Guys, where are we?" -- Charlie. The official tag line of the first episode of "Lost."
You know how when you watch "Usual Suspects" again, and it gets to the end (I won't ruin it on the off chance people haven't seen the movie) you wish you could re-capture the feeling you had the first time you watched it? That feeling of shock and awe and amazement that is completely lost once you've seen it? That's how I feel watching the premiere of "Lost" again.
While I can't un-know the things that I know from having seen every episode of "Lost" already, re-watching the pilot did remind me of that feeling you get when you watch a show for the first time and go, "This show is going to be good." And is it ever.
It's going to be hard to grade these episodes going forward, but this won't be hard: it's an A. Each of the last three seasons, there has been one pilot that absolutely floored me: "Lost," then "Prison Break" and then "Heroes." This one still holds up over time.
I can't help but wonder, what did the producers know when they wrote this episode? Did they know what crashed the plane? Had they thought up the hatch? The Others? Any of it?
I am looking forward to watching these episodes again all summer long. I hope you are too.
Comments
"00:07 -- Someone emailed me the other day saying when they first came across the premiere of "Lost," they thought it was a movie. Not hard to see why."
When I was rewatching this last week that thought popped into my head. It really seemed a lot like a movie.
:00:28 -- As we get a glimpse of Locke sitting on the beach, our first thoughts were probably, "That guy is weird.""
My thoughts exactly. The dude seemed cuckoo bananas.
"00:07 -- Sawyer and Sayid are going at it. This the equivalent of "Lost" porn for Lauren."
I officially like Lauren.
"00:23 -- "You're having a bad month." -- Locke. He's so good with kids."
This line made me laugh. Poor Walt.
"I am looking forward to watching these episodes again all summer long. I hope you are too."
Bitch please, I'm already done!

So I just finished watching the pilot and since we now know what has been going on, a few things came to mind:
- They've been on the island for approx. 90 days and they all look 9 years older (especially Walt!)
- How many babies do you think they have used since Aaron was "born"?
- When did Kate become annoying? She was semi-decent in the beginning yet now watching the pilot again & knowing how she is now, you can SO see she was going to f-up things sooner than later....
- Locke was always an oddball yet ya gotta love him! (seriously, he's woot!)
- You have to admit that Charlie came a VERY long way from the way he was in the beginning (god, what a weirdo!)
- Also, Hurley has and will ALWAYS just rule! (maybe it's the chunky chick in me who roots for other "chunkys")
That's all I can think of right now......See, one of the few episodes I saw in the first season was the pilot and maybe 2 or 3 others.......As ridiculous as it sounds, I'm DYING to see when Walt & Vincent reunite! I know I'll cry like a HORRENDOUS bitch when that happens! Sorry, semi-emotional over here, especially when it comes to the bond between a human and an animal........
Anyways, hope all is well with all of you....
Until next time,
me! =)

I sent you that email! To think what I almost missed out on! Looking forward to getting 'Lost' with you this summer Daniel!

I love how you are re-watching/commenting on Seasons 1 & 2. I'm in the process of getting the DVDs so I can follow along. I love your diary and I'm so glad it has a separate site (work blocked TMZ! ugh!)

Beginning of Pilot 2 you can hear Rose say that the sound the "monster" makes is familiar to her. Someone then asks her where she is from and she says the Bronx. What in the Bronx makes sounds like the monster? All I can think of is the L train.

I am anxiously awaiting Whitney's comments today, as she is one of the very few people who is not "rewatching" Seasons 1 and 2, but rather seeing it for the first time - if you can beleive that. Should be interesting to see what this newbie thinks.

I'm really glad "we're" doing this. Watching this last night reminded me how innocent things started out. I had almost forgotten what Lost was like when it was *just* about a plane crash.
I couldn't help myself from trying to find Nikki and Paulo throughout this entire episode. I was also desperately searching for clues for whats to come, but again I was left wanting. In answer to your question, Daniel, I think the writers might have had a vague idea of where it was going, but it doesn't seem from the Pilot that they've had a huge master plan right from the beginning. Maybe it'll show itself in future episodes, but for now I'm OK with the fact that they may not have known exactly how they were going to get from Point A to Point B. Only The Others are that smart. ;-)

the reason why Kate fell off so hard is the same reason why men cheat: the mystery fades and she becomes another whiny b!tch.
i think that Rousseau's people died when the purge happened. its possible if she had been on the island for 16 years. but why didnt she die? its still crazy to know she has been a refuge of the island for that long!

I was just thinking...I wonder if the producers felt like they HAD to write Walt out of the show (at least for a while) because it would be weird that he would age so much, as "Island/Show" time passes much slower than "real" time. It must have been a consideration. It will be interesting to see how they will justify his aging when they bring him back.
Posted by: widsl | May 31, 2007 06:57 AM
I think the writers must have known where the storyline was going, but didn't they say years ago that they were going to kill Jack early on, but test audiences didn't like that? Maybe it was just a joke back then?
And if they were thinking ahead, they had to foresee Walt growing up and going thru puberty from the first season...and isn't it funny the similarities between Walt and Henry? Walt is ten when he arrives on the island, the same age as Henry was...with his single dad (whom he doesn't seem fond of) and mother already deceased. Walt has Vincent / Henry had red-eyed bunny. The biggest difference is how they got on the island.
You know the backgammon scene with Locke and Walt always seemed to stick out in my mind -
First, the whole history of the game being ancient. Then the light side and the dark side comment(kinda gives me that whole good vs. evil feeling) and finally, doesn't Locke's face seem weird when he said, "Walt, do you want to know a secret?"..I felt like maybe Walt was having a psychic moment or something.
Yeah, I am so glad Shannon was axed, I forgot how much I detested her!!
Love the recap, looking forward to next week

SO true!!
"Please help me. Please come get me. I am alone now. I am on the island alone. Please someone come. The others, they're dead. It killed them. It killed them all." -- Shannon.
"IT Killed them" ...... Lost seems to have changed direction the smoke could of killed them but now looking back it seems that Henry and crew probably did the deed.
Thanks for posting the pictures .... I now have a crush on Ari....

Another poster mentioned what Rose said about the "monster" sounding familiar. What's up with that? Wonder if that is any type of foreshadowing. I've had Season One of LOST since it came out and had never rewatched, just collected dust, thank you Daniel for pushing my lazy butt to dust it off and take it for a ride, lol.

Does anyone bother reading Rich DeBerg's comments any more?? He seems to have less and less comments about the show...it's like he is so obssessed with Whitney bashing that's all he has to say, it is UNBELIEVABLE.
But you know he loves the drama, so there you go....soak it up Rich, soak it up.
I, for one, am looking forward to Whitney's comments because at least they'll be about the show.

My favorite quotes this week:
00:24 -- Man, of all the things I might do in life, I really hope one of them is not trying to find a corpse with my shoe size.
00:03 -- And again, how close was Charlie to nearly biting the dust? Desmond's premonitions probably go waaaaaaay back.
00:07 -- Sawyer and Sayid are going at it. This the equivalent of "Lost" porn for Lauren. (I have to agree with Lauren, that scene is extremely HOT.)
00:38 -- The message has been playing for 16 years. Not a real glimmer of hope, is it?
From the interviews the producers have given over the years, they said that they’ve always known exactly what they wanted to do. Obviously, some things are out of their control, like growth spurts and such, but according to them, the script for the first 5 years was pretty much already written.
This summer is going to be awesome, thanks for the entertainment.

A phenomenal recap, Daniel.
Also, Rich? Rich Deberg? You do realize that you're still acting like a sopping douche, right, and that no one really agrees with your imbecilic and condescending comments, right? It's like, at least I had a reason for posting inflammatory stuff when I was doing so. You're just being a flaming tool.
Idiot.

If I remember right, the writers said the familar sound of monster was taken from NYC Taxi Cabs - something like the sound of the reciept being printed?? (I believe it's on the extras on Season 1).
Love that you're rewatching these, Daniel! Makes the wait for this season on DVD a lil more bearable...
Posted by: ineedapeergroup | May 31, 2007 07:50 AM
Thanks Tony, I Love You Too. You Douchebag.
I listened to the official LOST Podcast prior to the season finale, and they said that the sound of the monster was a NYC taxicab's receipt printing. They literally sent a staffer to New York with a recorder and had him tape this sound, which they then used for the show. So maybe Rose saying it sounded familiar (and being from NYC originally) is an inside joke for the producers, Carlton and Damon.
Hey Tony, Now THAT's a great comment about the show that no one has ever brought up before!
PS - Tony, check out your comment above. What thoughts/insights about the show did you bring to the table? Have any of your comments/thoughts ever produced a meaningful discussion, outside of your bashing of Daniel? You are a hypocrite and a piece of horse shit.

GREAT write-up on the pilot episode! I haven't see these episodes since they first aired so I'm pretty jazzed about revisiting. And instead of wondering what happens, I know exactly why they said what they said and did what they did.
Did anyone notice that Kate was gung-ho about "going with" them everywhere?! She went with Jack to the cockpit and she went with Sayid to higher ground. And all that knowning that some monster was in the jungle. She used to kick some ass! I just loved the way she pointed the gun at Sawyer, it was love at first sight as far as Sawyer was concerned. In fact, that chemistry was there between her and Jack, too!
I also noticed Rose saying that she recognized the sound. I thought that was odd.
I agree with your comment about the characters being much more defined back then. Now everyone is all emotionally involved that it's softened everyone up. Characters need to go back to being 100% of whatever flaw they were.
As for your Question of the Week: I think the producers have planned the general outline of where this show is headed. Its the details that they probably work on, on a day to day basis.
"Ay, Brutha!"

Rich, your ludicrous post prompted me to laugh out loud at how pissed off you clearly are from a block of text that I composed in about twelve seconds. You might seriously want to check your pants and see if you shat yourself. 'Sides, here's the difference between you and me: I'll attack posters for legitimate reasons. You attack them because you're basically an elitist cock.
Now, on to your idiotic post:
1. When did I bash Daniel recently? Did I miss something?
2. I bring tons of insights to the table, dude! Just not in these particular comments, which are focusing on pissing you off and making you cry. It is apparently working.
Posted by: Tony | May 31, 2007 08:24 AM
Thanks Daniel, for the recap. I have to agree with Reese, surely a tv show as complex as Lost isn't written on the fly, they have to have a master plan with minor tweeks here and there. If not I'm sure the producers and writers are near mental breakdowns every episode. HA! It's going to be fun this summer reliving the beginnings of Lost all over again.
Posted by: ♥Susan♥ | May 31, 2007 08:42 AM
Thank you. Shannon was a completely useless (other than knowing French and having a nice singing voice) bitch. Kate filled the hot chick slot, she didn't need to be there.
I didn't think Locke was a wierdo. He was my favorite character (and husband's) from the very first moment. When Season 3 comes out and I start re-watching Season 1, I'll find out if I started hating Jack in the first episode. Probably.

Hey Daniel
To answer your random question about who controls the weather....it's neither God or Jacob, but Mother Nature. **smile**
But I did find it ironic about Charlie making the end-of-the world comment about the weather, especially cause any tropical island has sudden downpours, I wouldn't think it to be that strange..that's just me I guess

Another insightful, thought-provoking post, Tony! Your predictions and comments about the show are very valuable to all who read Daniel's blog! Keep them coming, you horse's ass!

Rich, you silly bastard, I'm going to keep slamming you for as long as I damn well please. I didn't like the way you treated Whitney, and I think that was when people started clamoring for you to try prying your head out of your rectum. If my posts are indeed driving the point home that you are an utterly colossal tool, then good. You deserve it. After I'm done making you sob like a 5-year-old with a skinned knee, then I'll move on to my commentary on the show.
Kisses!

Wow, I came to this blog to have fun and read about Lost. And Tony is completely ruining the experience for me.
I don't like some of Rich's comments, but at least he comments about the show and you know he is a very passionate Lost fan. Tony on the other hand seems to be one of those internet tough guys, who likes to bully people without any fear of ever having to come face to face with the people he attacks. I hope he stops before I abandon this blog.

Screw this. Hypocrites.

Sarah brought up an excellent point about Rousseau...did Rousseau and her team arrive at the island before The Purge or after? Were there three "camps" at the time, with the Others, the Hostiles, and then Rousseau and her team? But, then, when we first met Rousseau, she claimed she had not seen anyone on the island for 16 years, just heard whispers, yet she seems to know the whole island like the back of her hand...how is that possible that she never saw anyone?
That got me to thinking...we've never had a flashback for Danielle! With everything else that goes on, I kind of forget about Danielle sometimes, but now I'm thinking maybe her back story is an important one, and maybe since her and Alex are reunited, they will get into her back story next season.
Two reasons (of many) that I think Danielle's story will be important is:
* She claimed her team got "the sickness" after visiting the Black Rock, and she had to kill them all - what is the sickness exactly?
* In Danielle's transmission she mentions Brennan as being alive and "the one who took the keys." Now, we have heard of a Brennan, a Tom Brennan, Kate's childhood sweetheart, the one who had the toy airplane and the one who got shot by the cops as Kate was trying to escape...coincidence????
I SOOOO can't wait for season four to get here!!!
Posted by: ssmcbroom | May 31, 2007 09:07 AM
The thought occurred to me, too, that Danielle's team may have been affected by the toxic gas that the hostiles released into the air during the purge. The Others died quickly as they were very close to the point of release. Maybe Danielle's team , as a result of the more diffused toxic gas in the air, developed a serious sickness that lingered a bit before killing them. Thus, Danielle maybe felt she had to kill them to end their suffering?? I'm probably way out on a limb here, but I'm thinking that toxic gas was some sort of nerve gas and the level of exposure determined the manifestation of illness. Would nerve gas change one's behavior? I seem to remember Danielle making reference to signs of the sickness.

Hi Daniel!
Got back from vacation and the first thing I had to do when I got back was catch up on your diary! I'm so glad your going back to the beginning...I'm even going to write notes along the way like a dork to make sure I don't miss anything.
I really can't believe how much the character's have changed in such a little time...(after all it has only been like 90 days right...?) I loved Jack in the beginning- like Charlie, Kate and Micheal- and now I can't stand them. Well- I guess we don't have to worry about Charlie anymore- (although I did cry when he died in the season finale.)
Keep up the great diaries Daniel and everyone keep the comments rolling. The comments about Lost that is...

So I watched last night as well, and I have to say, I kind of got excited again.
There are lots of things I had forgotten, and the first big one I want to mention was that the comic book Walt was reading was in Spanish. It was the page after the polar bear one. Since I am only half Mexican and don't speak spanish much to the dismay of my father, I only understood a few words. Does anyone know what it said? It may not mean anything, but there are so many little hints in this show.... It had Green Lantern (or is it Green Arrow?) and Flash talking to someone else. I slowed it down and caught the words 'bad' and 'rescued' and 'kill'. Anyone know? I should have paid more attention in Spanish class....

ssmcbroom - I have been questioning why we haven't seen Danielle's backstory either - so glad you mentioned that!!

Hey Love that you are doing the recap of season one!.. And it is very interesting how you have put in little notes and stuff about what has been happening to.
Keeping us all informed just in case we forget!
I just wanted to say about being the "True Fan" thing that has been happening here.
Alot of people actually has gotten caught up during season 2 because of all the shows that they replayed. My husband wasnt into Lost at all, until season 2!(and with the shows that they play to get us all caught up also). Also I would say now he is a true fan because he is addicted and he knows everything that has happened.
Me, I have watched every single episode, even when they aired the same episodes over again. Even watch the recap shows, abc recap, and not counting TMZ and here I also go to 3 different other websites to get my Lost addiction coverage. And at least once a week I am explaining everything to my boss!
All my friends says I have LOCD... Lost Obessive Compulsive Disorder! Yeah I got it that bad for Lost!
So it doesn't matter if you haven't watched season one or not, but it helps! Because like Daniel said for example...Locke checking out his legs, weird but then we find out why he was, you do miss alot if you haven't watched Season 1.
Hey Daniel ? for you... whenever you sit there and watch Locke, Do you ever think he is just going to start chopping people up??? And say Daddy's Home!... I just can't look at him without thinking of him as The Stepfather.

Hi Daniel,
My apologies. I know I can come off as abrasive, but in my heart I really am just a huge LOST geek and want everyone to like the show as much as I do. My argument with, and statements toward, Tony have derailed me from that thought process. I apologize to you and to the rest of the readers. It won't happen again.
Rich
PS - Carly - great points. I'd love to see if there are some Spanish-speaking (or at least Spanish-reading) Lost fans who can help us out!

I haven't had a chance to get the DVD's for season one yet, but I did enjoy reading your re-cap. I plan to watch along with you (if I can afford the DVD LOL) If I have to rent it, I'll end up watching the entire thing. Thanks for doing this; I think it's going to be very interesting.
Also, I think it will be very interesting to hear thoughts from someone who has NOT watched all the episodes. A fresh look at things the rest of us hasn't seen. We may find some really good insights from her.
On that point, please stop the back-and-forth BS. There are plenty of places where you can do that, please don't make this one of them. thanks

Why was Jack lying in the jungle while others were on the beach? And why was Shannon so freakin' annoying? Should have killed her off after she did the translation b/c she served no other purpose after that. I agree that everything was more fun when they didn't get along as well. And Locke was the man from the first moment we met him. He rocks!
Posted by: cathead67 | May 31, 2007 10:37 AM
"God bless Tivo" and I already miss using the Tivo functions while watching the dvd. I can't quite go back and pause and look for easter eggs because my dvd player sucks! Plus its not HD quality and that takes a little of the enjoyment away....yeah, I'm already spoiled.
I could have totally done that Spanish translation but, thanks to Tivo, now I'm too lazy!
LOL!
Posted by: Janice | May 31, 2007 10:43 AM
Thanks anyway Janice!
Now this is really going to bug me untill I know, even if it turns out to be nothing.
Are there any good Spanish reading Lost fans out there with DVD players that have slow motion or pause that also blog on this site?
Listening to how that sounds I think I am really losing it now.... :)
Posted by: Carly | May 31, 2007 10:49 AM
Hey Carly! I actually can read & understand spanish!!! I can also speak it yet to have full blown conversation, I tend to forget vocab and freak out and then it's as if I've never heard the spanish language!
Anyways, my DVD player not only has the really good ability to pause whenever BUT I can also zoom into some scenes! I'm going to watch it on DVD right now and translate as much as I can & then report back on here....
me! =)
PS- To Rich & Tony- To quote one of my favorite shows, Ugly Betty, “Okay girls tuck them back in, you're both big.”-- Wilhelmina trying to stop Alexis & Daniel (of course not this one!) from fighting.....

Greetings from Canada Daniel,
Thanks for rewatching and reviewing sessions 1 & 2. I've been hooked since the first episode. I was not able to follow the pilot episode last night but, will be purchasing it over the weekend so that I may follow along with the rest of 'Daniel's Lost Crew' (DLC's)going forward.
I'd like to also say thanks to everyone who is passionate about this site and let you's know that I've learned some things that I had missed, as well as some comments that were posted helped me remember things that I had clearly forgotten. Keep the awesome comments comming and please leave out the negative crap. Bottom line, we're all reading Daniel's posts because WE LOVE LOST and Daniel's wicked sense of humor.

CARLY!!!
Excited to see you here. Two PEEPS out of a full hen-house? Not good. I didn't watch Part 1 & 2 last night, I saw Season 1 & 2 during the hiatus...but they are still fresh in my mind, like two recently picked mangoes!
Any who, someone previously posted about how "soft" the characters had gotten. I agree with exception of Sayid. It's amazing to see a character like Kate wither down to puddle of useless, whining, nothingness.
Does anyone else miss the creepy feeling you used to get while watching Lost? Nothing had creepy oozing out of every orifice like Season 1 & 2...Miss the creepy-factor, Ben's not even that creepy anymore.
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 11:22 AM
ANA, YOU'RE HERE! Its me, Belle... (yeah, I know, I ditched the alter-ego when I came over to this site. LOL!)
I totally agree with you, Sayid has been the only one to actually kick it up a notch, especially after killing the Other with his legs!!
Posted by: Janice | May 31, 2007 11:27 AM
Good comments about Rousseau. I've been wanting more background info on her too. It seems like she shows up everywhere. Kind of hard to believe she has NEVER seen her daughter on the island before isn't it???
Thanks again Daniel.
Posted by: Teresa Lynn | May 31, 2007 11:32 AM
THANK YOU....ME =)! (uh, whoever you are) I will be waiting.....
Hi Ana! Glad to see you here too! I agree about Kate. Watching last night made me admire her as a strong female character but lately I think I admire Sun more.
Daniel made a comment about not liking the direction the show has taken because now the Losties are more likeable. I may disagree on that one. I think that with good character development, you grow to like people more even with their tragic flaws and you care more about them and that is what makes it more frustrating/exciting especially when those flaws come out, like Sawyer's assholeness (not a real word but I like it anyway).
Just a thought.
Posted by: Carly | May 31, 2007 11:39 AM
I love reading the new blog about season one. I also have to buy season's 1 and 2 and watch them all over again.
On a different note though, can I just say something that i've been finding to be a bit frustrating? It's not 100% related to this particular blog re-cap, but I thought I'd still post it here. I think I'm just going to say it:
I don't think it's safe for any of us to assume that the flash forward we just saw in the finale is 100% their fate and that's what's going to happen. I also don't think we can safely say Charlie died. I mean, did we see him get burried, no... in that case who knows. Look at Mikhaiel (sp?) for example, he just keeps popping back.
I'm not saying I'm right, I just think none of us can say that we're right, since we all just don't know.
I just don't get how some people seem so sure (like Daniel), when this show throws so many twists.
Does ANYone else agree with me?????!??
Posted by: Cally K | May 31, 2007 11:39 AM
Wait, Belle you are Janice? See, I knew I liked your comments for a reason!
Anyway, Hi!
Posted by: Carly | May 31, 2007 11:41 AM
Rousseau: Sixteen years on the island and doesn't know poop about hatches, creepy farm houses, underwater cables, smiley-face hot air balloon, small housing complex w/electricity, etc. Losties have managed to find all this out in less than 90 days on the island.... WTF!
Not to mention the "Purge" that she had to have been present for and yet she was spared...
Janice!? As in Dickinson? Just messn'
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 12:08 PM
Cally K:
I know what you mean about the FF. The show (Locke especially) makes a big point about fate and what "supposed to happen", so I don't think what we saw with Jack is written in stone...I think we are going to be seeing a lot on the themes of fate and free will in season 4....just a hunch. And hunches are all you can really have with this show.
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 12:13 PM
Did anyone else catch that when Charlie, Kate & Jack were on their trek for the cockpit that Charlie told Kate his DS ring was when the band toured England, thought that was interesting. They didn't really show the ring, but in his flashback to the plane that was the only ring he was wearing. I was also amused that even in the 1st episode Kate wanted to go back for someone (Jack) when they got separated running from the monster. And lastly, Sawyer is so much hotter now than when the show started!
Posted by: LostLilOne | May 31, 2007 12:19 PM
Cally K, I agree with you..I don't believe that whole flash forward sequence being 100% or anything close, however I do think that Charlie is dead despite not actually seeing him buried....but with this show, you never frigin' know!! Which is why I love it!
Personally, I think the flash forward was a ruse to give us a new question (who's in the casket?) and as I posted on the other (LQ&A page) I think that the person in the casket is unknown and the possible connector to all the losties...again, all speculative, completely guessing...just a thought.
Posted by: mr burns | May 31, 2007 12:20 PM
LOL! Ana, that is exactly why I like to be "Belle" sometimes!
Cally K and Ana: I'm in total agreement about not putting 100% faith in that FF. I think it would be totally cool if the FF ended up being one of Desmond's visions and somehow Des changed the course of the future by letting someone else die. So that FF never happens... You guys still with me?!
Posted by: Janice | May 31, 2007 12:26 PM
Ana - That's totally what I've been thinking!!! (about Danielle) and WTF - she made some statement about not going into Mikhail's house, saying she stayed away from things like this or whatever...but she wants to find her daughter desperately?? She knows more - I know it.
The first Lost Q&A that was my question to Daniel. Why haven't we learned more about Danielle...she is such an enigma...she glides in and out of so many episodes, she's always on the ready to help out, but we haven't learned her true backstory...maybe she is the smoke monster (joking)
Posted by: mr burns | May 31, 2007 12:26 PM
Just thinking out of left field here...what if they haven't done a back story on Danielle because she's Annie? What if the toxic gas messed her up mentally, and that she really believes the stories she tells everyone? And what if Alex really is Ben's, if we say that Ben and Annie got together? Probably not the way it is, but that would be cool :)
Posted by: ssmcbroom | May 31, 2007 12:35 PM
Mr Burns: I know. Why would she say that staying away from those people or situations (?) is what kept her alive if when Sayid first meets her she admits that she has never actually seen "them" but only heard them via the whispers?! And something about her time line just does not jive with me. Seriously, I thought she was going to end up being "JACOB"!!! Oh yeah, and remember when she "catches" Ben (then as Henry Gale) and she tells Sayid, "Be careful, he will lie to you" or something to that effect? How did she know that IF SHE HAD NEVER SEEN THEM?!
Janice: :) Didn't LAUREN THE LOST NAZI post something about Micheal being the one in the coffin. Something like he didn't want to come out in the finale but thats who we were supposed to see?
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 12:41 PM
Cally K, Charlie really is dead. Dominic Monaghan the actor who plays Charlie said in an interview that he would not be coming back to the show, Michael Emerson(Ben, Henry) also said in an interview that the character is really dead. He may still pop up in flashbacks, who knows. In regards to the Spanish Comic Book, I will pause and see if I can translate, not sure how good my DVD Player is. -Philly, PA
Posted by: Yvette P. | May 31, 2007 12:41 PM
ssmcbroom - that is left field, and I like it!! But I don't think it's possible either
Posted by: mr burns | May 31, 2007 12:41 PM
ssmcbroom: That would be definitely be more probable than "I've been wandering the island for sixteen years, but I know squat about everything. " It would also explain why she has stayed alive for so long, The Others have let her live because she used to be a part of them. She just lost her marbles and "they frown upon killing one of their own."---Alex
I like that idea.
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 12:46 PM
Wow, I agree. Everyone does look super younger in the pilot, i think especially Sawyer and Walt though. And Oh, smoke monster, how I miss you being more of an invisible dinosaur that stalked and killed people.
Ok, so, about Shannon: yes good god I hated her. Total bitch. But I kinda think the producers intentionally made her so unlikeable specifically so that viewers would be really upset when Boone dies and she lives. Like, seriously, we get stuck with the crap sibling? Kinda drives home a "life on the island isn't fair" vibe, y'know?
And I actually have a "for Daniel" type question after re-watching the pilot, and its this:
Do we think there's any significance to jack being the only survivor that we see waking up in the jungle and not on the beach? With what we know about how the others were planted at the two beaches (Ethan and Goodwin) and with jack's tattoo "he walks among us but is not one of us", is it possible Jack is some kind of plant without even knowing it? Are the others (and henry) using him even more than we suspect? Makes me suspicious, is all.
kaitlyn
Posted by: kaitlyn_ti | May 31, 2007 12:46 PM
Ana - I hear ya! Especially with catching Henry - I mean come on now, how does she not know who this is!? I want answers about that bitch :) *smile*
Just like the show, this site is like crack, I can't stop, the topics of conversation are great! Thanks.
Posted by: mr burns | May 31, 2007 12:51 PM
ooh. and also, I totally think we are going to get more Roussou backstory in this coming season. I totally agree with the people here who are saying her timeline just doesn't quite jive with what we know happened on the island.

This dude on The Lost Diary MySpace page posted this; the newspaper clipping in the finale,
The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue. Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft. Concerned for tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room. According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son. Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening.
After reading this, I'm thinking maybe it's Michael in the coffin, he changed his name when he went back, teenaged son? Could it be Walt? So many ?'s
Posted by: Yvette P. | May 31, 2007 12:57 PM
Yvette: I definitely think that it was Micheal. Having said that, I dont think that the casket has much more significance than to show the Losties desperation with what happened on the island.
Mr. Burns: She bothered me from the get go. We'll just have to wait and see!
Jan-Elle & Carly: Where? What? Who? Still here??
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 01:11 PM
ssmcbroom - I like that idea too. I hadn't thought about that but it may answer some questions. I had been thinking that Annie may have died in childbirth, which could explain Henry's passion about trying to fix that whole problem.
kaitlyn - I was wondering about Jack too. I know it's come up before, but isn't it hard to believe that sooo many of the passengers survived the crash with hardly any injuries at all. How often does that happen in real life. Did they address this and I just missed it?
Posted by: Teresa Lynn | May 31, 2007 01:11 PM
Ana, what Lauren said was that the she read or saw an interview that the producers wanted Michael to be in the open coffin, and that was their original season ending, but when the actor that plays Michael was told, he decided he didn't like it and didn't want to be in it. So they had to change it to add the Kate thing at the end and have a closed coffin. So regarding the newspaper clip, it is either purposefully misleading, or spot on, because it has Michael killing himself in New York. That would lead to more questions, Why did he do it? Why does that make Jack attempt suicide too?
Kaitlyn, good question about Jack in the bushes. I originally thought it was just because it was good directing.
thanks to everyone for translating for me! I am anxious for the results!
Posted by: Carly | May 31, 2007 01:12 PM
KAITLYN: I had the same thought about Jack, but than I remembered Bernard. He was found dangling in a tree by Goodwin.
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 01:14 PM
CARLY: Well if it is confirmed that it was Michael, than I would be pleased. Him committing suicide would be the one redeeming quality he had. He was, after all, responsible for the capture of Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley; the horrific death of Libby (gasp!) and Ana Lucia; and the release of Ben/Henry. Good riddance if he’s gone.

um... i never comment, but it's really starting to upset me that people are being rude on here... i don't think it's the point to judge and call names.
there was a type of community feel to all this, but the nasty comments or name calling just seems to break up that feel.

Wasn't Kate also roaming the jungle when she happened upon Jack? And her cuffs were found by Walt in the jungle as well...

I wondered about Jack's location, too - remember, Rose was right across the aisle from him, and she ended up on the beach (or in the water, and was brought up to the beach). If Jack was running in a straight line, then he ran a long way to get to the beach. Even though we didn't hear the sounds then, I assume that he was running toward the sounds of the wreckage, and not just in circles. While Jack's trajectory could have been slightly off, it seems odd that he would land so far away from EVERYBODY. Frankly, it is amazing that he could land on his back in a bamboo forest, and only get a few gashes. If he fell directly from the sky and landed there, I doubt that he would have been in shape to do much running, right? So if he DIDN'T land on his back on hard ground, where DID he land? And who moved him? Or maybe he landed there, and was healed by the island. Or maybe I am just smokin' something funny today.
Posted by: Nan | May 31, 2007 01:40 PM
With regards to Danielle, when she caught Benry, she actually said something like "He's one of them" or "He's one of the Others". But I do agree that her story does quite add up. Sometimes I think that she's really nuts!
As for Jack and Kate being in the jungle, I think that some people just happened to fall into various parts of the jungle. Most of the survivors were strapped to their seats and thus were all together near the fuselage and such. Didn't you guys see the tennis shoe hanging from a tree?
Is it just me or don't the actors have to do what the producers tell them to do? If they say, "Get in the coffin" you kinda have to do it! I'm not buying that excuse that he didn't want to be in the coffin in the season finale, but since he's been very busy with other projects, then maybe he could have used scheduling conflicts as his way out.
Just my two cents!
Posted by: Janice | May 31, 2007 01:42 PM
Nan - exactly my point. How does Jack get thrown so far and only have a few gashes??? How do soooo many of them have no injuries???
Or you could be smoking something funny today :) JK...

Well, talk about having WAY TOO MUCH time on my hands!!! lol
So I not only zoomed in and paused but I also took pics of each bubble of dialogue and then went to altavista.com to translate......It couldnt translate everything but here's what it said in spanish and then the translation into english......If someone who knows more spanish than I do (i know, im a disgrace to not only mexicans but cubans! but hey my dad didnt want his kids learning spanish for some ungodly reason!), feel free to translate it some more....
me =)
What the comic says in Spanish:
"cuales son ahora tus planes?
en que te afecta decirnoslo? De todos modos, somos tus titeres.
entendemos como te sientes. Lo que hicimos hace medio siglo estuvo mal y lo que te hicieron dense entonces esta mas alla de cualquier clase de perdon.
pero si alguen ha de pagar por eso......"
This is what altavista.com translated into English:
"as they are now your plans? in which it affects to say to us it to you? Anyway, we are your titeres. we understand as you feel. What we did half century ago was bad and what they did then dense this but alla to you of any class of pardon. but if they alguen it has to pay for that reason......"
Posted by: me! | May 31, 2007 02:29 PM
Teresa Lynn:If you're still here. The fact that so many escaped serious injury, I think, goes back to Locke's belief that they (or at least some of them) were "supposed" to be there.
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 02:30 PM
THANKS ME! You are awsome!!Heres my translation:
"What are your plans?
In what way does it affect you in telling us? We are stil your puppets. We understand how you feel. What we did half a century ago was bad and what weve done since then, and then some, is beyond any pardon.
But if someone must pay.."
Posted by: Ana | May 31, 2007 02:37 PM
Ana - I'd like to know how the "Others" pulled that one off. I have kind of thought that too, but sometimes it's a stretch for me to think that fate and destiny are driving everything on the island. The realist in me starts to get in the way of the spiritualist. But your right, because just who or what is Jacob? How do people come back from the dead and all the other thousands of questions I have. I guess fate explains it over pure dumb luck.
I guess we will hopefully start to find out just why they are "supposed to be there".
Posted by: Teresa Lynn | May 31, 2007 02:57 PM
ME!- Thanks for typing it up.
ANA- Good job on the translating...
Its very telling!
Posted by: Janice | May 31, 2007 02:58 PM
Woohoo! So those comments are the ones that Red Flash and Green Lantern say? If I remember it from last night correctly, first the "bad guy" says something (you only see his back) and his comments are in bubbles that are black. I swear that part says something about killing. Then Red Flash and the Green Lantern say something and what they say is in white (translated by Ana and Me, thank you both very much!). And what does the polar bear have to do with it? I am going to call my dad tonight. Didn't Hurley and Charlie have an argument having to do with Red Flash and time travel? Hmm....very interesting.
(although I have absolutely no idea what it all means...)
Posted by: Carly | May 31, 2007 03:01 PM
Carly: LOL Its just like this show to do that to the viewers: "I saw x, y and z and I KNOW it means something...I just don't know what." Ah, the confusion.
-I saw a twig, could that mean something?
-I saw a blister on Sun's left toe, does that mean something?
Oh how they're fu#%king with our minds!!!

I'd imagine that after 90 days of surviving a deadly plane crash, foraging for food, water, fighting Others, kidnappings, escaping death on numerous occasions, launching rescue missions, being drugged and dragged, running from monsters and wild animals, being locked up and starved, busting rock and other difficult work, being raft wrecked, seeing friends and fellow Losties shot and killed, being held hostage by various people, seeing dead people and other things from one's past and a 1000 other things that have happened and they are no doubt thinking what in the hell is going to happen next? Yeah that can change a person. It would either make them or break them and honestly for what has happended to all the Losties, I think they are all pretty brave.

Ana, I've lost my mind already. @:) (see that is my head after watching Lost....)
Well, this little puppet has to head home now. Talk to you later Lost peeps...
Posted by: Carly | May 31, 2007 03:26 PM
another slightly different version of the translation. But still very interesting don't you think. It gives me the chills.
Do you know how this translates into English? For you - SI!
cuales son ahora tus planes?
What are your plans now?
en que te afecta decirnoslo? De todos modos, somos tus titeres.
Why does it affect you telling us? We are your puppets anyway.
entendemos como te sientes. Lo que hicimos hace medio siglo estuvo mal y
lo que te hicieron dense entonces esta mas alla de cualquier clase de
perdon. pero si alguen ha de pagar por eso......"
We understand how you feel. What we did half a century ago was bad and
what they did to you since then is far beyond any class of apology. But
if someone should pay for that ....

A little over two years ago, Daniel told me about this TV series that I had to see - "Lost." Being reasonably responsive, I ordered the first season DVD. And last year, I ordered the second season DVD as well. Only one small problem: I never actually watched any episodes.
I loaned the DVD's to friends, who did watch and urged I do the same. Nonetheless, those shiny discs remained unwatched and unloved.
So when Daniel announced he was going to watch the entire "Lost" oeuvre from the beginning, I saw my chance. The plan: Watch an episode a week and comment on what I'd just seen. Here goes:
Understand that I find "Survivor" idiotic and "Castaways" too precious. So surviving while stranded on a remote island isn't actually appealing to me. On the other hand, I loved jungle shows as a kid. My favorite was a TV series called "Ramar of the Jungle," which ran from 1952-1954.
This is a long way to get to the fact that I was impressed from the very first shot. The supine guy in the clearing ... the dog ... the panorama shot to a beach scene straight out of "Apocalypse Now" -- all good. It was like watching former secret agent Patrick McGoohan waking up in a prim cottage in "The Prisoner," only to pull back the drapes and discover he's now Number 6 in a creepy place called The Village.
I also liked the trick of slowly revealing a bit about the major characters before the crash -- although, as a former rock 'n' roll road warrior -- I knew exactly what Charlie was doing in the head while during the cockpit exploration scene. (It's going to take a while to figure out everyone's name. I can't believe the producers didn't include a booklet in the DVD set with a list of character names and photos.)
But here's what I really dug about what I saw last night: It's a great locked-room, stormy-night mystery. I kept thinking about the writer Agatha Christie during the pilot episode. She excelled at crafting mysteries that took place during in mysterious English mansions during ferocious thunder storms. No one could get in or leave. All the lines were cut. And the guests were slowly being murdered.
I'm beginning to see what everyone sees in this show. And I like the idea that someone or something may be screwing with this bunch. I'll stay tuned...

meh - not good at posting, but...
Red Flash and Green Lantern?
backgammon? black and white?
red is opposite of green on the color wheel? black and white, of course are common opposites...
i'm still thinking good vs. evil and maybe testing the boundries of what our idea of good and evil is or may be...
dunno...

Allen:
Welcome to the dark side, my friend!! It's rare to find a LOST VIRGIN! So glad you are here, we welcome you with open arms.
PS. don't mind the foul fingered typists that like to scoff instead of enlighten. Read over those :)

Allen...A Lost virgin, deflowered! As Teresa said earlier, people who haven't watched all the episodes (or any of them) will certainly bring fresh insights, as well as fresh enthusiasm.
Welcome to a wacky world, and prepare for a bumpy thrill ride. The great thing about Lost is that there's something for everyone. I'm drawn to its character-driven aspects; others have been seduced by Lost's layers of sci-fi mystery and mythology. As you have quickly picked up, there's great stuff going on cinematically as well: from good storytelling to creative camera work.
Plus, let's give the lovely island of O'ahu its props! Every last frame is shot there, and the producers get pretty darn creative in finding locations to double for England, LA, Sydney, the Australian Outback, the American Midwest, Nigeria...anywhere and everywhere. It's great sport for me (and other kama'ainas living in exile, I'm sure) to try and figure out where they've filmed scenes.
So welcome, Allen, and enjoy getting Lost!

I just want to say I'm so glad so many people like this show, so that it will be able to stay on the air!!!
I haven't been so hooked on a TV show like this since Melrose Place, and that was like a decade ago, my goodness!!!
Anyways, I'm so relieved that other people also think the FF was only just an "idea" a vision Des may have had... who knows, just that it's not set in stone.
I might end up eating my words, but I feel like Charlie will come back... I just do! And I don't mean in like visions or anything. Don't hate me for that pleez :) !!!

So Jack was in the woods and all of a sudden has this "oh shit gotta run to the beach" and then later when he goes to fix himself Kate appears out of nowhere in the woods as well. I think it was them coming back from the future.. maybe its far fetched who knows.

Allen, Welcome to the "Lost" blog. It will be interesting to hear your fresh insights as a newby. I hope we don't ruin it for you by giving away some of the secrets.
Hunker down and prepare yourself because it's going to be an exhilerating journey. Oh, and good luck watching only one episode a week. Any bets out there that Allen ends up having a Lost marathon and watches them all in a few weekends? ;)

The picture of Jack laying on his back reminds me of Locke laying in the open pit. Kind of a rebirth for both of them. The more that I think about it, the more I think that Jack was placed there. When they found Bernard on the other side of the island, he was stuck IN a tree - if he had plummeted from the sky and hit the ground flat on his back, I doubt that he would have survived. Maybe Christian is Jacob - and Christian's history of spinal surgery makes him especially powerful at healing back injuries! :-)

Hi y'all. In case you didn't know, I'm bilingual. Did anyone do the translation that everyone is asking about? Here it is:
'Which are the two plans? Why does it affect you telling us? Anyway, we're your puppets... we understand how you feel...We did it a half centruy ago and it was bad... and what they did to you after that was unexcusable. But, if someone had to pay for it...
I know we've come a long way but I have to say that I'm glad Daniel jumped in and ref'd the verbal boxing match going on between the kiddies. Good grief. It really sours the diary and as much as I like the little insights into everyone's unique personalities, keep it positive!
That being said, HI TO ALL MY PEEPS OUT THERE! I see that we've about all made the jump to this site from TMZ; hey Daniel, hope you're getting TMZ pay to still read this huge, growing diary! Poor guy! We need to get Daniel a girlfriend. He's way too cute to be holed up in front of his computer worrying about the diary! Any Lost singles out there? Start our very own match.com; prerequisite, you must be a pop culture junkie to keep up with Daniel's VAST knowledge!
Daniel, YES the feeling watching Usual Suspects the first time just cannot be matched. I was so blindsided by information at the end of that movie that I literally sat with my mouth hanging open, amazed that this movie that I really didn't like too much throughout the whole thing, suddenly came together and was BRILLIANT! Aside from the difference that I actually LOVE LOST, I have a feeling that I will sit with my mouth hanging open again in 2010 when the finale airs. That is, unless they are all in the Santa Rosa Mental Hospital! in which case I will be posting I TOLD YOU SO to all of you! (but with the way things are going, I'm skeptical about it but sticking by my guns)
