Adrift

Adrift

No need for any preamble, you know the drill. Let's roll ...

00:00 -- I hate that they have "Previously on 'Lost'" on the DVD.

00:01 -- "We're gonna have to take the boy." -- Tom. Never stops being creepy.

00:02 -- "Waaaaaaaaaaaalt." -- Michael. Never stops being annoying.

00:03 -- Sawyer's version of CPR is screaming "Mike!" over and over again and slapping him on the face. It ain't working.

00:04 -- They're showing Locke going into the hatch -- again -- which reminded me, doesn't most of this episode just repeat itself from last week?

00:05 -- Sawyer tries actual CPR and it works. Kinda wish it hadn't.

00:07 -- "Waaaaalt!" -- Michael ... still.

00:08 -- Yup, now we're watching Locke walk through the hatch, filling in some gaps from last episode. I remember not liking this at all.

00:09 -- "Are you him?" -- Desmond to Locke. Is there any right answer to that question?

00:10 -- Michael is actually trying to throw Sawyer off the raft. What a tool.

00:11 -- Dharma shark on the loose!

00:13 -- Michael is getting his ass handed to him by his ex's lawyer. Not cool.

00:15 --  Sawyer just removed a bullet from his shoulder with his bare hands. Fictional or not, he's more man than me.

00:16 -- Locke tells Desmond he is "him." Um, not sure if that was the right move.

00:18 -- Locke wants to tie Kate up. I can respect that.

00:20 -- Jack tells Hurley he's going back to the hatch ... again.

00:21 -- Oh, Charlie. Yeah, forgot about him. Almost.

00:22 -- Michael and Sawyer are arguing about whose fault this all is. Boring.

00:23 -- Michael's ex is begging him to relinquish his parental rights. How can anyone ask anyone to do something like that?

00:25 -- Watching Kate wriggle around on the floor is, um, well it ain't bad.

00:27 -- Food, glorious food!

00:28 -- "So the world's still out there?" -- Desmond.

00:29 -- Beep ... beep ... beep ...

00:30 -- 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. Execute.

00:31 -- "That would be Jack ..." -- Locke

00:32 -- Make your own kind of music!!!

00:33 -- "You?" -- Jack ... again

00:34 -- Uh oh, Dharma shark.

00:36 -- Michael meets up with his ex and baby Waaaaaaaaaalt in the park.

00:37 -- Michael has decided to sign over his balls, I mean parental rights. Probably for the best.

00:40 -- "Imma get back my son." -- Michael

00:41 -- "We're home." -- Sawyer

00:42 -- "Others!" -- Jin

Wow, what a waste of an episode. I was right in remembering this episode kinda blew -- nothing happened!

Not much I can really add here. Watching Locke's first experiences in the hatch was a nice foreshadowing, but that was about it. This episode gets a D- and I think I am being generous.

D-....harsh but true!

i am watching adrift tonight - i don't remember it being that bad. i'd take any lost right now, bad or good!

I might just have to shoot myself if I have to hear WAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLTT much longer!

Ya know, I don't actually think season two was as bad as people make it out to be. I think that the only thing people remember from season two is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT! and Shannon, so they make it out to seem much worse than it is.

Daniel - You shouldn't watch the episodes based on what you know now. I think that's what you're doing. I mean you should... but to a certain extent. Only to see if something ties up with now, or if something adds up for you now when you were confused before.

LOST is GREAT no matter what the episode is. A filler, a mind blower whatever, for me anyway! I watched season 2 & 3 not too long ago but I'm back on it again so I can keep up here.

This wasn't a mind blower but great nonetheless.
An A for me.
i'm lost - I'm with you; any LOST is good right now.

When I got yelled at for being annoying because I was calling out for CAM is when I had started season 2. So in honor of annoying Michael & CAM I must! sorry, but it's been a while!
CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!

Off to watch 'Orientation'.

good night, y'all!

Welcome to season two, second viewing, where they learn how to take 40 minutes to set up a cliffhanger that doesn't really ever pay off until near the end of the season.

Count me amongst those not too impressed with season two. It has its high marks, but mostly it spends its time in a hatch. Until Henry Gale arrives on the scene, it's a snoozefest. Especially since you know that all of the tailies they introduce are of no consequence to the show's long term plot (unless Bernard is suddenly going to be a main cast member).

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to reading your reviews and hearing your final verdict.

You're right Daniel, booooooring! But nevertheless, I enjoyed looking around at the hatch much more carefully now.

I think Sawyer is a little more MAN than A LOT of men I know!! I'm sure Lauren would agree. (How is she, btw?)

How many more months 'til a new Lost episode?

tie up Kate? You can respect that? BAD BOY DANIEL!

being a mother, Tom's words, "We're gonna have to take the boy." have stayed with me longer than anything else in this show.
Absolutely horrifying. Tom was the first character I hated. Then later, when we find out Tom's romantic preferences, it only makes the whole situation even creepier!

And we really got a feel for how unhinged Michael was becoming. You are right, Sawyer should have saved the CPR for someone who wasn't gonna try to throw him off the boat.

And the more Sawyer suffers, the hotter he seems!

This WAS a slow episode. But it still caught my attention a couple of times.

Daniel, Sawyer's line "We're home" has stayed with me longer than any other dialogue spoken on the show; I think it foreshadowed a lot of what happened in seasons 3, 4 and what's still to come...that line there tells you the ending of Lost: we're home...

This was an episode I completely forgot about, that was how lame it was. But now that I've read this, I remember how slow it is. But still, once my internet at home is up and running, I'm going to watch this episode.
I think between the annoying flashback episode here, being annoyed by Shannon, and stupid Ana Lucia, this season got on my nerves. This time around, I'm already waiting for Shannon and Ana Lucia to die, and waiting very impatiently for Henry Gale to show up. He goes by his real name! Henry Gale! Such a twisted character, I loved him. And hated him. The best type.

OH MY GOD! This is too freaky for me. Or maybe I just need sleep.
Okay, so I'm researching for a project at work, and a website I go to is run by Kevin Johnson. And it's information about an orchid. Thankfully, the registration number wasn't the numbers. Then I most likely would have lost it.
I nearly screamed my head off when I found it. It could just be because I need sleep, though. After, the super huge thunder storms last night did keep me up. But it freaked me out. I tie LOST into WAY, WAY, WAAAAAY too many things, it seems like. The joke in my family is we all have special talents, and mine is connecting something with Lost. Sad.

I think any episode that contains: Waaa haaa haaa haaalt!! (even in those Previously on Lost reminders) gets a D-
I hates me some Michael.
I used to think his ex was awful to want him cut out of Walt's life but...maybe she just knew him better than we did. His own mother did the same thing -- and he did cave awfully easily.
I think he just loved being a victim.

oh lovesteamykeamy, I wish I worked with you so I could somehow slip the "numbers" to you! You know a message with return phone number or something. I would love to see you scream and run out of the office!

girl, get some sleep! And don't get all paranoid everytime you see a security camera in a store or office. It isn't the others watching you. And everytime you space out at your desk, it isn't your brain time traveling. Strangers aren't staring at you. And those whispers are nothing, don't even pay attention to them. But if a guy with alot of eyeliner comes to visit you.....RUN LIKE HELL!

(just to be on the safe side, you might go ahead and pick out a constant.)

Constant, constant. Who the hell would my constant be? Ben had to kill Keamy, didn't he? Damn.
Yeah, I think it's just Lost withdraw, because my internet is down at home, so I can't watch a new episode.
Yesterday, I was at Five Below, getting stuff for my baby sister's summer camp care package, and I saw a little Lost collectible set. With Charlie and a Drive Shaft ring. No lie, the first thought through my head was, "Daniel would hate this." They had a Shannon one, too. Lame, they need a Jack and a Sawyer. And for me, a Keamy.
I was tired yesterday. I fell asleep watching Die Hard With a Vengeance last night. It might be the lamest of the four (for me), but I have to be really tired to fall asleep with all the explosions. A little less so today. I don't feel all paranoid, and I'm stuck doing research on Fiji, you'd think the research would set me off.
Thanks, suzie. You'd love to just see me run out screaming, I feel special. :) I think I'd run faster if Abbadon came over if Richard came, he's kinda hot, guyliner and all. Good advice though.
Now, to find a constant...

About the numbers: I do not know if anyone has pointed this out before. If so, please forgive. The numbers are probably evil. This is an off-the-wall thing but the numbers add up to 108. 108 doubled is 216. 216 is the product of 6 X 6 X 6 (666). Coincidence?

I forgot how absolutely annoying that damn WAAAAAAAAAALT thing was. I had blocked it out and it felt so good to do that. Do we really have to revisit it? Too bad the shark didn't get him.

And too bad Kate got the gag off, though seeing her held at gunpoint always makes me smile. Thank you for showing me that I'm not the only one thinking there was something a little kinky about Locke wanting Kate to be tied up . . . he's a little freaky, my boy Locke.

Countdown to Henry Gale . . . now THAT boy is freaky!

That's creepy, cal409. Wow.
Can't wait for Henry, he was just too awesome for words. That's about 12 more episodes, I think.
How long till Shannon bites the dust? She's a pain in the ass.

That's putting it nicely . . .

This is a harsh bunch, isn't it?

This is why I love the "off" season. I used to just read all the posts, but this year I dove right in.
So I'm not the only one that finds Richard a bit sexy? That's a relief. And by sexy I mean in the creepy, possible maniac sort of way. I find mysterious men HOTT! I have issues. I'm working through it.

I still maintain that Henry Gale is 500 thousand times better than Ben, as a character. I mean, both are super awesome, but Henry Gale was so.... mysterious. Oh boy, I need therapy.

Oh, trust me luva, the mysterious, creepy bad boys are the BEST! Look at Keamy. I love them. And the guyliner on Richard just makes his eyes look so pretty. Don't worry about your issues, I got them too.
I can't wait to see Henry Gale again! He was awesome!!!!!!

Haha, thanks loveSteamyKeamy. Glad I'm not the only one. I think it's the guyliner that makes him look so sexy. He wouldn't be that way without it. It makes him look so mysterious. It's just like the killer in Prom Night (post mental institution). They're creepy and dangerous and mysterious and SOO HOT!

Only six episodes until Shannon's death! (I think). Yay!

Henry Gale single handedly MADE this season. I think I might have given up on the show without him.

I totally just found Richard if he ever starts aging and starts looking unsexy.

I dare you to try to watch the who thing

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, I can't do that at work, sadly. But my internet at home should be up and running tonight! Yay.
But it gets better.
My cousin just got back from a really long business trip to Italy, and he still hasn't seen There's no Place Like Home Parts 1, 2, & 3. So tonight, he's coming over, and we're watching it all. It's a Lost event night! Just like the good old days. And once word got around to my friends that there was an event going on, well, it became a traditional Lost Party. YES!!!!! And, in devotion to Keamy, I will be right in front of the tv when he's on it. And when he dies. At least I know that happens now. So I won't be all sad. I can't wait!
And then later this weekend, I'm watching Adrift and a couple episodes from Season 3. It's a Lost Weekend! Starting tonight! WHOO-HOO!!!
And no problem, luva, we who like the baddies have to stick together and all that. Happy Thursday, it's almost weekend! Yay!

loveSteamyKeamy, I am very excited for you and jealous of your LOST party. I hope that watching Keamy make his exit will not cause you to relapse. Enjoy your LOST night, I actually think I still have all 3 parts on my DVR, if I could ever finish all of my work I could rewatch them.

Everyone have a good weekend.

It did suck, didn't it? But I am really looking forward to Orientation- it's one of the only episodes I've watched once.

thank god other people commented! I thought you all left for Hawaii without me! I forget how slow the off season can be. I'm used to have to check two or three times a day just to keep up with all the comments. Now I can check once every few days or so.

Don't worry about me, Jenn. I'm doing awesome. Mostly because I FINALLY got a new phone! I had the same antique since I was a sophomore in high school, and I'm starting my sophomore year in college now. Party was awesome. And it's continuing with one of my Lost "virgin" friends this weekend. He came in on Season 4, we explained so much to him.

Have a great weekend, ya'll! I'm going to go watch another episode. From season one this time. And then, I'm making buttermilk pie. Yummy, best summer dessert there is. It's officially summer at my house now. :)

Suzie...you're calling my man creepy?? Why must you insult my Mr. Friendly?
Though...I can kind of see where you're coming from. However, unlike SteamyKeamy and luva, it is, in fact, not his creepiness that I so love about him, it is his unbreakable loyalty, understated gentleness and the fact that on the inside (and in a lesser, more marginal-population way, on the outside) he's just a big teddy bear. Oh, and Arturo.
But seriously now. Please don't insinuate anything about my Thomas Ezekiel Friendly (and the rest of aforementioned population). Let him rest in peace. Unless the writers resurrect him. That's cool with me too. More than cool. (Darlton-Birthday. 5 days. Hurry up.)

I never understood why people hated "Adrift" so much. Yes, it wasn't the greatest episode ever, but it had a lot of Sawyer and a lot of Desmond and it had "What did one snowman say to the other snowman?". The dialogue on the raft with Sawyer and Michael (excluding anything Michael says) was pretty good. We found out just how willing Sawyer is to put himself in danger and get hurt for the sake of or wishes of others, as much as he wants to be a badass. A lot of it was filler, but most of the raft scenes were legit. And don't tell me you weren't freaked out when Jin came out of that forest yelling "Others!! OTHERS!!!"

Yeah, Beej. I nearly screamed and fell off my sofa when Jin was running out of the forest. My mother looked over at me like I was crazy or something, but it was freaky (this was before she stopped watching Lost, she thinks it just takes to long now. And they call me crazy? Ha.)

I finally got Mystery, Alaska yesterday, too. I loved the fact that Keamy and Rose were in a scene together! Although he hardly ever acted like Keamy.

And Tom is really loyal. That's always a good quality in a guy. But I wouldn't ever try to cross him, it might turn out bad for me.

SteamyKeamy--Must rent that. (Though knowing my local Blockbuster, that will take till next year.)

The thing with Tom is...crossing HIM won't turn out bad. Crossing his BOSS will. I happen to think Tom would be very forgiving and kind if he wasn't answering to Ben. Remember, he didn't kill Sayid/Bernard/Jin....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY in 5 days Beej!

y'all are crazy! :)
hey everyone! it's been a busy week so I've missed a lot! Hope all's well and you guys are holding up with no new LOST. I actually really enjoy revisiting the past seasons. In case anyone forgot,
I Heart Jack :)

Beej - Tom? really? Tom? :)--'Understated gentleness'--loved that!

loveSteamyKeamy - Also love that you call a phone you had just, oh, 5 years ago? antique! haha! Can you make chocolate buttermilk pie?

hey suzie q! :)

Toooooooooooooooooootsie1!?
sarah badaraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?

Oh, & yes Richard is a good looking guy. And personally, I prefer suit wearing recruiter to disheveled hostile.. :)

lovesteamykeamy, how do you make buttermilk pie? I have never heard of it. Is it like a cream pie?

Can you give us the recipe some time when you're not busy? please???

(the die hard bloggers will LOVE IT if we start swapping recipes!) :p

hi kat, glad you're still out there!

and have you noticed, every man on lost has someone who has the hots for him except......Abaddon! Wonder why?

kat:
Chocolate Buttermilk Pie, that sounds too good to be true, now I'm gonna hunt around for that one. And Richard the suit wearing recruiter is delicious. Yummy.

suzie:
Sure I can give you that recipie sometime. I can't right now, as the little sister is waiting to use the internet. But she heads to camp tomorrow, so I got the whole weekend. It takes time to make, but, oh, baby, is it worth it! I heard someone describe it as the pie to get a man to fall for you, like engagement chicken. I should serve it to Keamy... or not. That could turn out dangerous. :) I think no one has the hots for Abaddon because he's creepier than all get-out. I shriek and hide everytime I see him, and I don't scare easy.

Beej:
The movie rocks. I've watched it a few times since getting it. Although if you're not a huge hockey fan, it can get a little long (I thought that it was a little long. I can be a beast on the floor in hockey, but I hate to watch it. Ask any guy who was in my PE3 class, I could kick their butts on defense. :)) But it's good, and Keamy is a sweetie on this one.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone! Another diary coming soon! :)

I also prefer the suited up Richard, but either way, the man is fine.

It seems like our usual die hard bloggers are MIA... I hope my man didn't recruit them. Although, wouldn't be suprised if Cam had been recruited.

lovesteamykeamy, when you come back maybe you can explain "engagement chicken". I have never heard that term!

I suppose it is chicken so good he wants to marry you?

I think we might need that recipe too!

I am getting hungry just typing this.

good night everybody. Have a good Sunday!

Hey-I'm still here:) have been following along-but don't really have anything to contribute!

I did'nt re-watch, kind of like starting a novel over in the middle, not really in to that!

But LOST is always in the back of my mind every day! so carry on...I'll jump back in now and then!

Notice how I got the paragraphs down now-ha, ha!!

your paragraphs are good Tootsie1, but I always said, write it however you want. If they don't like it, they can just skip over!

Some people are NEVER happy. But I think we may have lost some of those people since it is off-season now. (bye-bye grouches!!!)

Us die hards can take the time to read a whole paragraph. Hell, we have time to watch the same reruns over and over!

Seems like the ones who stick around are a pretty nice, friendly bunch, don't you think?

And they have cool Lost parties, and they have magical island babies, and they make buttermilk pies, and they go to college, and they give career advice, and even parallel parking advice! And they all like just about everybody...except Abaddon!!

Tootsie1 - I'm with suzie q! Write it how ever you want. I'll read it! :)

I, for one, like re-watching, especially on Sunday nights. Something to look forward to as the weekend ends.
My magical island baby is usually in dreamland pretty early, my husband is playing World of Warcraft with a bunch of on line players & I am on my own to enjoy uninterrupted LOST on dvd! Season 2 ReVisited is excellent when enjoyed uninterrupted & with a
cocktail :).

or two :)

I'm still here too, I don't have much to say that is anything different than what we have all already figured out or they have told us...

PS That pie sounds like a delish dish.

kat-I'm w/U on the cocktails, that's how I usually watch LOST, then I have to re-watch to figure it out-ha,ha.
suzie-U are right-I think we have a nice little community here, I know I have enjoyed it! and who has this buttermilk pie thing? Must be a "Southern" recipe, I've never heard of it!!
sarah B-how do you like being done w/school for awhile???
Oh yah-almost forgot..lovesteamykeamy-I saw a guy that looked a lot like your man..big-tall-cute, I had to look twice, but I know it would never of been him..no one comes to this part of MN.. made me smile though!!!!

The following is info. I got from Dark UFO--it's a LOST spoiler site but I do not consider any of this info. any major spoiler.....basically what we know already; it's just new (Carlton Cuse interview from China) & it's been so long with nothing new!!

Interesting read.

1) Jack v Locke (Science v. Faith) - One of the fundamental themes of show. In Season 5 Jack will become more a Man of Faith and Locke will become more a Man of Science. Locke believes his destiny is tied to this island. This will be a story line that we will explore in the upcoming seasons.

2) We will learn what happened to Locke and the others. Also, now what is Locke's destiny since he is in "charge" of the island? He has committed his destiny to this island and thinks that it will lead him to enlightenment. We will eventually see if he is right or not.

3) Locke's story is not over. There is a famous guy named Jesus Christ that was resurrected.

4) We already know what our path is and people make mistakes in theories, because there is no simple answer and they do not have enough information

5) Sawyer is his favorite: Handsome, charming and dangerous, everything he would want to be.

6) He gives a shout out to Skaters and Jaters and then mentions that we call them Darlton. Kate will end up with one of the two eventually.

7) New LOST interactive game start at Comic-Con, register to become a member of Dharma Initiative. Depending on how you do on the test you will be a Physicist, Chemist, or even a Workman.

8) Production starts in August and Season 5 will air from January to May 2009.

9) Talks a about Piracy, online downloading, some things about writing and more.

10) Does being a producer affect your story writing? No, we write first with out being a producer and then put on producers "hat". Explains this is the reason why we got an extra hour for Season 4 finale. Do not want to censor themselves as producers.

11) Discusses picketing during the writers strike and why it happened.

awesome kat, you have made my day with that. you dont still have the link or anything, do you?

Want some homework? See how many "Lost" characters are in the movie "Wild Hogs". (Hint: Keamy plays an idiot.)

Hey, now, Mary P. don't insult my Keamy. God only knows what might happen with that temper of his. ;) But now I'm gonna have to rent it to count the Lost characters. Sounds like a fun game! And anything with Keamy is worth my time, and my money.

I'm still finding the buttermilk pie recipe online, I have it written down at home, but it's kinda long, so writing up the whole thing would take time. But it's delicious and worth it. It is a southern recipe, but my Lord, it's amazing. My mama is Southern through and through, so a lot of this stuff I learned from her. We actually got the recipe from the Washington Post last year, but we kinda doctored it up, because they had done things like put unsalted butter (ha! That's contraband in Mama's house) in the crust, and it called for some nasty rhubarb thing to go with it.

And I just saw the article for engagement chicken somewhere. I never have made it, never have needed it, I'm kinda sans bf right now. He didn't want to be tied down when I went away to college this year. So I have no need of this chicken. But that's okay, I'm young, I got time.

And lucky you, Tootsie1, for seeing a look-alike of my man. :) All we got down in MD is short guys. So I never get to wear heels more than, like, 3 inches. All my really high ones just gather dust in the closet. Can you send him my way? :)

We are a pretty friendly group. I've gotten lots of different types of advice from here. It's pretty fun.

And I loved the Dark UFO stuff, kat. It was awesome, thanks. :)

Hope you survive another Monday, guys.

aww, lovesteamykeamy, I am sorry your ex-bf split. He probably wasn't good enough for you anyway!

Actually, I think the Keamy guy is single isn't he? If you guys hook up, we all get to be bridesmaids!

There's probably a Keamy lookalike waiting for you at college.

and kat, yea, really thanks for the DARK UFO site. It has alot of cool stuff on it. I am still reading the recap from it.

hey everyone! :)

sarah b - here's the link. It is a LOST spoiler site so when the season is going it's pretty active w/ info. ---you've been forewarned :)

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/

Aww, thanks suzie. I'll let everyone know if I meet my Keamy. And if it's the real one, I probably won't shut up about him. lol. The other guy always took my Keamy sutra way, waaaay too seriously.

Thanks for the likk to the site kat. I can't wait to get home and spend hours on it tonight. I just have to get through the next two hours and dinner at my grandmothers and then I can watch Lost and check out the sight. Which I won't do during the season, I never read spoilers then.

Speaking of, here's a potential spoiler alert I just found.
I was reading over the article in the USA Today from a while back about Kevin Durand, and it said that he had signed on for 9 episodes. And then I checked the Lostpedia website, and it says that as of There's no Place Like Home Parts 2 & 3, he's only been in 8 episodes. Oh, my God! Is there one more episode of Keamy's steaminess? That would be too awesome, especially if it was a Keamy-centric episode and we found out what happened in Uganda and why he's such a twisted man. Are the Lost writers listening? :)

Gah! Anon @ 11:29 am was me.

SteamyKeamy--there was at least one hour of programming scheduled for this season (ie, not filmed, but planned by the writers/producers, possibly even written) that they had to cut out because of the writers' strike. So they probably had the idea for a Keamy-background ep, but never got to show it. Hopefully they could give that info in a later ep OR as a bonus feature on the DVD. I can't wait for more Keamy either! [My scenario: him and his Ugandan baggage show up in a Widmore-centric episode next season. Maybe not good enough for an addict like you, but....]

And, Kat: YES, really, Tom!! I claimed him a while back when someone (sorry, I forget who!) posted the list of LOST bachelors. I realise I'm "not his type"...but, full disclosure? That's why I like him in the first place. (And that understated gentility.) I also like Mikhail Bakunin. If anyone was wondering. Undead Soviets always do it for me.

Suzie, thanks for the birthday wishes! Hasn't been a great week so far, however. I got rear-ended two days ago. BUT... Can't have everything. (If anyone wants to buy me M.C. Gainey, I would love you forever.)

Hey, just saying that's what he PLAYED. :P He's a bit psycho looking for my tastes (Especially in Wild Hogs). I'm only 24, but there's an intellectual thing about Ben... nothing compares to shirtless Sawyer though.... :)

Keamy has been in a lot of stuff and is coming up playing the Blob in X-Men...
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0243806/ I dunno, I think Keamy is a lot more exotic that Kevin. :P

Beej- at this point in time, anything with a brief 10 second scene of Keamy will do the trick. Even if it was a Widmore-centric episode. Keamy is Keamy. I'll take what I get and be happy. But the more the better. And wow, Mikhail as well. What is it with us and these really bad guys? The undead Other, he's not creepy at all. Love it! Made me giggle. Hope the birthday was good. And that your week gets better.

Mary P.- don't worry, I knew what you meant. And he's gonna be in a lot of movies pretty soon. That has people like me super excited. Especially since he's gonna be the title character in Otis E.! It's only about time he got a bigger role. He's hot. He's right up there with Sawyer on the shirtless moments. I could look at them forever :)

I'm already planning on going to see the new Kevin Durand movies with friends, saving up money now. Who knows how many times I might see them all. :) What can I say, I'm an addict...

When do we get a new diary or LDQA? I love reading them.

AHHH I gotta brush off the DVDs and get in synch!

You crack me up lSK. :P

Glad to see everyone is still keeping in the loop.

Kat - I love Dark UFO, but I always hesitate to mention anything in case some people think it may spoil something. I don't think they ever give out too much.. I love it.... I've been so busy with a new job I've hardly had time to revisit lost. I need to get my lost fix....badly!!!

SteamyKeamy.... you are so funny.... you make me LOL. I've given up on trying to rehab you from the bad boys....Enjoy :)

I do want that buttermilk pie recipe.. I'll trade you for a down home Strawberry pie recipe that is guaranteed to satisfy any mans craving.... we are bad aren't we????

Hey all, I still have to check out some spoilers and watch Season 2 re-visited but for something different and if you want to see our Jack in a different role watch Vantage Point.

I thought it was a really really good movie. It's kinda like LOST where it follows a few different characters...but I highly recommend it but then again my favorite movies (besides Finding Nemo) are Michael Clayton and The Good Sheppard so I guess I have a biased type, but it really is a great movie.

Hey, I'm here.

I've been so busy, I haven't had any time over the past two days. And I'm exhausted. If ya'll could see the size of the dark smudges I have under my eyes. I'm telling you, concealer and chamomile tea bags are my best friends, that's how little sleep I've gotten. But hey, I'm on vacation this weekend, and I get to leave work at noon!

Glad to make people laugh, most of the time recently, I've been too tired to even know what I'm saying. I'm getting the recipe up on a website, I'll post the link when I finally get it done.

Glad you gave up trying to rehab me, tl, I've been trying for years, but once Keamy came around, I gave up too. And I'll take any pie recipes, I need to work on my pastry crust's, I still need work at it, they aren't perfect. :) Good luck with the new job.

Have a great (LONG) weekend, ya'll. I'm gonna be on a boat watching fireworks tomorrow, boat all day, once I get there. YES! Hope ya'll enjoy yours.

have fun on the boat lovesteamykeamy!

About pie crust: pillsbury has some that you just unroll and put in the piepan. It is really good. It is in the store by the canned biscuits. If you pinch the edges right, people actually think it is home made. EASY!!

HAPPY JULY 4TH EVERYBODY!

Well-I thought I was going to get way behind..no new episode this week huh?

One thing gals that I was thinking of the other day, we have almost every single man on LOST "taken or lusted" for, by one or more of us. What other show can claim that many hunks???
Jack-kat
Christian-Sarah B
Sawyer-suzie
Sayid-IheartSayid
Desmond-was it Luva?
Keamy-Obviously LOVESTEAMYKEAMY
Richard-I'll take (Tootsie)
Locke-can't remember?some think he's ruggged

Even the dead ones:
Mr Friendly + Patchy-dead-don't count-beej
Boone-LSK
Mr. Echo-?

How come no one has claimed Jin for their own? or did I miss that one. I mean sure he's married, but someone must think he's hot.

And poor Ben-is there no one for him????? LOL-back to work!! Have a Great 4th All!!!

Fun Fact: On iTunes they have the LOST book club...some great reading. I totally recommend this for people like me who have nothing to do until classes start up again in August!

Tootsie--Can Mikhail ever really die?
SteamyKeamy--Enjoy your weekend!! (That goes for everyone else, too!)
And the birthday was alright, thanks. No complaints.
Jin's great, Tootsie, but who would want to split him and Sun up?

Do we have enough guys on here to do a list of 'claimed' girls, or do we just give them all to Daniel?

Happy 4th everyone! It's overcast here in Baton Rouge so I don't think I am getting fireworks today. Looks like a perfect day to start my LOST book club with Catch-22.

Have a great holiday weekend ya'll!

Sadly, it's pouring down rain here in WV, so we can't go out on the boat tonight. Dang.

suzie, that pie crust probably would work on most pies. I think I would use it on other ones, but for this pie, I'm a perfectionist, I make a cornmeal crust. And ohmygawd, it's delicious.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has a thing for Ben, maybe it's those bug eyes. But Jin is hot. Very hot.

The book club sounds great. Do something productive at work, lol.

Glad you had a good birthday, Beej. And hope everyone had a great 4th!

Locke is all mine, baby.

loveSteamyKeamy - if you're out there, this one is for you!
It's the link for Dark UFO. I think there's something there you'd be interested in seeing :)

everyone; hope you had a great holiday!- just in case you weren't aware, this is a link to a spoiler site. Click at your own risk & stay away during the season if you do not want to read anything accidentally or on purpose.

loveSteamyKeamy - I just happened to be on imdb.com looking up Dark Angel (that old Jessica Alba show - you might be too young to remember it - i think you said you were only 18/19? sorry if i was wrong) but anyway thought I would let you know your honey Keamy he definitely doesn't look like himself...

loveSteamyKeamy - if you're out there this one is for you!
There's something there I think you'd like to see!

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/

hey everyone. Hope you all had a great holiday!
The link is for a spoiler site; Dark UFO. Click at your own risk :)

wasn'r sure if my first one went through...sorry for the double post...y'all!

hey, weren't we supposed to get a new recap every Monday? This is the second Monday with nothing new. I get all excited....and then nothing. Did I miss something?

kat-- thanks for the link. Between that and my new shoes, my day is a complete guarantee for a good day! :) Thanks! There was also an article linked to it, that was quite fun to read.

sarah badara-- yeah, I actually do remember that show, although I was pretty young, my father loved it (mostly cuz he likes Jessica Alba) and there were a few times when I would sneak into the tv room and watch it when I didn't think they'd notice (come to think of it now though, they probably did notice.) But I didn't know that my man was in it, I probably didn't recognize.

suzie-- I'm with you on this one, I wait and get all hopeful, all for nothing, isn't it sad? We need a new diary. I want to watch Orientation, but I wait for the diary to watch with it.

Hope the holiday was good. I was driving home yesterday. Have a good day, ya'll.

In all of your travels, has anybody been to Canada lately?

My youngest son and I are going to Canada in a couple weeks to visit my oldest son and his family.

We have our pass ports. I am a little nervous about going across the border. I don't know why. Not like it's a third world nation or anything!

We are going into Ontario. Port Dover. Anybody know any good touris traps or anything we should check out? Youngest son is a fishing nut, so we will be fishing. (oh boy!)

My old man is staying home to work and feed the animals, so my son and I will have some quality (I hope) time together in an exotic foreign country! Wish us luck.

Daniel, we miss you! I need my LOST fix!

Yes please!--
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANIEL!!

:)

We know you're looking forward to Orientation, Daniel, because Charlie doesn't appear in that episode. In fact, Claire and Shannon are also not in it. Ah, good times!

And, just to make the episode even sweeter, it's a Locke-centric one. So come on Daniel, sweetie, where are you? This one was sooooooo good. I can't wait to read your take on it.

And until we get that part of the sweet deal, I'm almost done getting that buttermilk pie recipe up. It'll be here before tonight's over, East Coast time, that is. Cuz I've got a killer headache again.

And when we do make that island trip, I think we should all go after Juliet, I just found a video pairing her with Keamy. So no. Anyone else wanna join me? It would stop her from hooking up with Sawyer, too.

And suzie, for Canada, I can't think of a lot, the only place I've been that's super touristy would be Niagara Falls. But a few summers ago, my family and I stayed at my mom's boss's cabin on the lake in Bob Cageon (I can't remember spelling). It was a cute little town with funky shops on the locks. It's kinda cool to watch them go and see the canal fill up with water. But I don't have much on fishing. Guess I'm too girly for it or something. But have fun! And hey, if you're up in Thunder Bay, watch for Keamy for me. :)

Recipe soon.

Up sooner than I thought I would get it up.

Here's the link:
http://recipes.wikia.com/wiki/Buttermilk_Pie

If that doesn't work, go to http://recipes.wikia.com and type in Buttermilk Pie in the recipe search engine.

Enjoy!

And (it cut me off, stupid computer), can you guess what the lSK1 stands for? That's how you know it's from me, Keamy.

Lord, I must be tired, and the headache pills must be kicking in.

I think I'm gonna lie down now...

Suzie--Have so much fun in Canada!
Every year my family takes a road trip to a lovely town near the Falls called Niagara-on-the-Lake. Fabulous food, quaint shopping, theatre (they have a summer theatre festival honouring the works of George Bernard Shaw, check it out if you have time) and even wineries nearby.
The border crossing is nothing. Don't worry at all. Just don't bring any firearms or alcohol.
lSK--If he comes back next year, we must have a cyber-party.

DAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEELLLLLL!

Hey who is going to Niagara Falls? That's my neck of the woods (when I'm not here @ LSU). Buffalo is my hometown!!

But whoever goes to Niagara Falls just go on Maid of the Mist and you can really experience the falls. Niagara-on-the-Lake has become a lot more touristy lately and has lost that "original" atmosphere (I think).

Also, I don't recommend the firearms either, but alcohol is no problem. Just tell them you are going to the casinos on the Canadian side (or some tourist stuff) and if they ask you if you have anything to claim on the way back just say no.

Also if you are going with anyone from the military have them drive. When I would go back and forth between Canada and the States I would show my Marines ID and get back into US no problem.

Haha...does anyone else need more advice on the Niagara Falls/Buffalo region? LOL I got it all!

So my internet has been down for like a week, so this is kinda old...
Tootsie1- I claim Desmond for sure. We can share Richard. How does all the even numbered days work for you?

Also, since we share basically everything on this site, I thought you guys could help me with this problem. I CANNOT fall asleep lately. I don't know why. I always have had trouble sleeping, but lately it's out of control. I just lay in bed for hours. I can't sleep and it's driving me mad. Not only do I have giant circles under my eyes that no concealer will conceal, but my family is getting mad at me because I've been kind of cranky.

And whoever said they were going to Canada, bring your birth certificates, just in case. A passport should do you fine nowadays, be I once got held up at the border for about two hours because we forgot my cousin's birth certificate.

I went to Niagra Falls once in January. It was well below zero outside. Everything looks really cool (literally) that time of year, but dang it was cold! We walked across the bridge to Canada and I thought my extremities were going to freeze off!

Don't have time to say much right now. But:

DAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEELLLLL!!

Come back to us, we miss you here.

Luva, they say if you are having trouble falling asleep you shouldn't stay in bed, get up and watch tv or read a book. I had this same thing happen to me in college and I was told not to do anything in my room except go to sleep... It took a little while, but it eventually worked. Try not going to bed until you are sleepy.

If you are going into Canada around the Buffalo area, there is the Peace Bridge that goes into Fort Erie and then the Rainbow Bridge ( I recommend this one ) which goes right by the falls. All you need is a form of ID. It's very rare that you need a second one as these two bridges are the main "tourist" bridges. You don't need a passport quite yet (the date keeps getting pushed back) and a birth certificate is usually for people traveling on those big buses.

Ok....I'm really jonesing for an update here...I've almost finished rewatching Season 2 now and am dying to see everyone's ideas now looking back.

Hey thanks everybody for the Canada info! I think this will be a fun trip.

I said something to my oldest son (who is living in Canada) about the Peace and Rainbow bridges. He asked where I heard about them. I said, "oh from a friend of mine who used to live in Buffalo."

I didn't tell him her name is sarah badara and I have never even actually met her.

And thank you very much loveSteamyKeamy for the pie recipe. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to soon. I have NEVER heard of cornmeal crust! Sounds yummy.

Luva, I hate to say this, but if you are old enough, being unable to sleep can be caused by HORMONES. I could always sleep anytime anywhere, untill my hormones started screwing up. Now sometimes I just cannot sleep no matter what. IT SUCKS.

No problem, suzie. The cornmeal crust does something for the pie, keeps it from being too sweet. But I've learned that you have to follow the instructions to the letter. I was running short on time once, and I didn't chill the pie crust for the second time, and that stupid thing came out of the oven hard as a rock. So I had to start the crust all over again, which just took more time. It's a process, but it's a worthwhile process. Enjoy!

You know, I think that Bernard and Rose had a meal or something in an episode of Lost one time in Niagara Falls. I don't remember, but I think it was on a restaurant on one of the bridges.

This stinks, I live in the D.C. area, I have gone to the spy museum a few times before, it is one of my favorite museums to go to. And I find out that on Tuesday, Jin (well, the actor who plays Jin) was at the Spy Museum, and walking around downtown D.C. Just a metro ride away from me. I coulda seen Jin! And tried to find out if he's alive or not. But of course, I had to be at work. Lord, there are times when I hate working.

And beej, if Keamy comes back, I agree. Big virtual party. I also intend to call all of my Keamy-hating friends to rub it in their faces that my man is alive and kicking, since they told me to accept it. :) They know I will.

Oh, and Luva, I don't have a lot of suggestions to get you some sleep. Every once in a while, I can't sleep, what I do is drag myself out of bed and work out for a little bit. I hate working out, but it wears me out, and I get back in bed, and I'm asleep by the time I hit the pillow. But for the circles, I'm a firm believer in chamomile tea bags. Steep em for a few minutes, make sure that their cool enough that they won't burn your eyes, and then put them on your eyelids for a few minutes. Last week I had no time to sleep, and I was getting huge circles under my eyes, big smudges, everyone noticed, even people who don't normally notice my standard bags. I popped those on, and they went down, so I could use concealer. Or get industrial strength concealer, I borrowed some from a friend once, and it worked miracles. Sadly, that friend moved away, and I can't remember the name of the concealer brand, otherwise I would tell you. Hope you start getting sleep soon!

New diary, right? Maybe we should send Daniel some pie...

DAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEELLL!

Daniel, come out, come out, where ever you are...

Daniel, doesn't it feel great to know that you have so many women (and a few men) hanging on your every word and eager for more from you?! : )

hi y'all!

luva - try a glass of wine or a shot of whiskey before going to bed.

I've been to Toronto before & visited the falls. I can't say my time there was wonderful (but that had nothing to do with Toronto itself). I actually saw a cow on the side of the road & can I say, being 20 years old at the time & not having seen anything but Southern California, it was a trip! :)
I remember now they had a cigarette machine inside the tunnels that take you through the Niagara Falls. (where you wear those lovely yellow rain coats and stand under the falls at one point.)
I'd better stop, my trip is coming back to me & there's just no reason for that! :)
I must say though now, many, many years later, I'm glad I had the opportunity to go there & see the Niagara Falls & some actual weather!

Hey Suzie...an old friend works for me. LOL

I used to live in the D.C. area to when I was stationed there and can I just say lSk...don't go to the spy museum drunk (yes, I'll let you guess who made that mistake...HAHA) I had a few martini's b/c we had to wait to get in for the tour or whatever and let me tell you, I didn't understand half of what was going on. Much better when I went again and I was sober! LOL

And the reason bringing me here today...good news for well, me. Check it out...

SPOILER LINK SPOILER LINK

(it has some other shows so be careful if you dont want to know)

http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/07/09/spoilers-anonymous/

Nothing too big, but enough to keep me happy (and my famous Bible theory going)

Daniel - I am so tired of looking at 'Adrift' You are 2 weeks late. COME on - brotha - get on it.
Cheers

sarah badara-- love that story. Also, never go to the spy museum with a bunch of broke college students not from the area who don't listen to you (the D.C. native) when you say that they charge $16.00 to get in per person. No one in my group paid attention before we went, and guess who ended up paying? If only I had someone to get them to pay me back. But that would be a little hard to understand the museum, drunk. I can't see it making sense. That spoiler makes me very happy, they're both interesting characters. I'm sure you're pretty darn happy too, huh? Thanks for it!

kat-- sorry you didn't like the falls. You know the tour you were talking about, I got to go on it two years ago, and they've stopped giving out the yellow raincoats. We now get yellow plastic bags (o.k., ponchos) that keep out about 1/10th of the water. I went when I was seven, and I got the felt booties and the huge slicker. And then I went when I was 16 and I got water shoes and a bag. And we got to put our stuff in plastic bags that we carried with us. My stuff was just as wet as I was.

Quick question, has anyone seen either Wild Hogs or Smokin' Aces? My friends and I are debating which Keamy movie to watch next, and I'm not up for one where he dies, like in 3:10 to Yuma. Does anyone know if he dies in one of those two? Mystery, Alaska can get boring after a while, we've seen it repeatedly because we can't always watch season 4 episodes online, the internet can suck.

I really hope there's a new diary soon. I'm getting bored. Need a new one, soon! Please, Daniel. I'm begging, and I don't beg very often. Be proud of yourself, hun, you got me beggin'!

Have a good day, everyone. :)

thanks for all the suggestions, but unfortunately, I don't think I can blame hormones since I can't fall asleep all month, not just around one particular time.
Also, considering I'm 17 and going into my senior year of high school, I don't think the wine/whiskey is going to do the trick.
The tea bags worked wonders though! thanks! Now if only I could sleep...

Hope you get sleep soon, luva. I'm 18, squats and lunges have put me to sleep after finals when I'm still too keyed up to sleep. And this is coming from a girl who would rather be shot in the foot (so I can't wear my really hot shoes) than work out. And enjoy your senior year. It's awesome! Although, two years later, I wouldn't go back to it for anything, no matter how much fun it was. :) Glad the tea bags worked, that's one of my favorite remedies.

sorry luva - I should have added the 21 & over disclaimer! :)

Have a GREAT senior year!!! HOW FUN for you! :)

and 100!
I had nothing new to add. Just wanted to bump us up to 100 comments!

:)

this is why I love the off season. everyones SO happy and supportive, which is a nice change from the mean and cynical people we sometimes get here... :D

OMG I was driving today and was completely HIT IN THE FACE with a new LOST theory. Have been obsessed with it all day, in fact. Maybe I was more obsessed, even, with the fact that I figured I had NOBODY to bounce it off of, since Lost is offseason, but I should have known.... you guys are still here! YES!

I think I'm on to something, I really do. But before I launch into it (and thereby officially remove my Santa Rosa Mental Hospital Theory from 'My Only Theory on Lost', I must think it through alittle more (so it sounds somewhat logical)... will post tomorrow then. Glad you guys are still hanging around!

luva & Lovesteamykeamy-wow!!! you guys are sooooo young-Suzie and I are well, mature!! (hope that don't affend you suz) Anyway-it is nice that we can all get along and the "haters" are gone! I'm not following the spolier link-sarah B. Am I guessing right that it is some one close to Ben's heart-not trying to give anything away to anyone that did'nt see it? I'm lost-w/o LOST!!!! Can't even get into the repeats on line...I want the new ones!!! Don't want to wish away time...but, why do they do this to us?????

loveSteamyKeamy, Wild Hogs is funny! I really liked it. I don't think anyone gets killed in it. I haven't seen Smokin Aces.

luva, how much caffeine do you drink? Maybe you should try cutting out cokes and coffee for a few days. Or like they said, exercise to wear yourself out. Are you worrying about anything? Try to clear your mind and concentrate on something like the layout of someones house and where each piece of furniture is, or how many new people you have met this year, or anything kinda boring that keeps your mind off of your problems. *Picture yourself on the Lost island with just Sawyer (or whoever) and try to figure out if you want to live in the caves or on the beach. And ten nicknames you want him to call you. And if you should find him a shirt or just let him do without one.

and kat, you got excited seeing a COW? seriously? That is too funny! You need to get out more girl!

and you guys reminded me that I also went to Niagra Falls when I was about 6 or 7. I remember we put on those heavy yellow raincoats and stood in some cave that opened under the falls. For some reason, I remember that the floor was really slippery. So now they give you crummy ponchos? How lame. Is nothing sacred?

And sarah badara was drunk at the spy museum. What the hell IS the spy museum anyway? They have like Maxwell
Smart's shoe phone and stuff? They must have something good if it costs $16!!!

and speak for yourself Tootsie1, I am still young. I will have you know I have spent all week building a stupid rocket. It's my son's 4H project. They are kinda cool, they actually launch and everything. Sure hope my kid gets a blue ribbon for it.

Lost in Tex - I am DYING to hear your new theory! You always had great ones. I'm still stuck on my Jacob/Aaron Bible theory.

Which reminds me! Tootsie...I am not giving ANYTHING away ( I promise ) but let's just say it involved someone close to MY heart! HAHA!

And YES suzie...drunk at the Spy Museum...but it was not on purpose. I can't have the reputation of former military/crazy LSU Tigers fan & student/Buffalonian/crazy stoner/drunk/almost 24 years old chick...

Haha...I think that's everything I've been described as or described myself as in this chat!

Smokin Aces is really good. I like the different characters...but Smokin Aces is not good if you like Keamy. I'm just sayin. And also has anyone rented Vantage Point yet? Another great movie with our Matthew Fox (who dissapoints a bit in my opinion - but you have to see the movie to find out way cause he is definitely a great actor!)

Okay, I think that's it for the night. I have to clean the house and what not before I fly home next Tuesday. Wahoo!!

LOST in TEXAS-- what's the theory? This sounds really good. Can't wait to hear it.

suzie-- the International Spy Museum is probably one of the most awesome museums down in D.C., for me anyways. I think that the only one that tops it would be the art museum, which I love. And the Journalism one that just reopened. It's definitely worth the $16.00 you pay to get in. You get to choose a "secret identity" and then go on a "mission". And you see all sorts of cool stuff, like a whole room on James Bond stuff (in my upbringing, Dad is British and a huge Bond-ie, we own all, I've seen them all.) And learn all sorts of stuff I would never have known. You ever come to D.C., check it out, just be ready to pay. Hope your kid wins the ribbon. Is this the time traveling kid? I don't remember who has the kid who wants to be a time traveler right now.

So I was washing my face last night, and it hits me, I have my own personal connection to the numbers on Lost. Lost had it's series premier on September 22, 2004. Which, when you add the 2+2, equals 4. September 22 is my birthday. And, here's the cool bit (or creepy, I dunno), September 22, 2004 was my 15th birthday. Awesome! I have connection to the numbers! So, does that make me special? Or evil... :)

And kat-- I was driving home a few weeks ago from camping, and I saw a bear cub running across the road, I nearly pulled out my camera, you don't see that in the city! I was just as excited about seeing it as you were about the cow, I get it. The most wildlife I see in my backyard is my cat catching a vole... or a leaf.

I think I'm jut gonna get both movies, I got a good paycheck, and I found them really cheap online.

Where are you, Daniel? I'm getting worried. Should we sing "You All Everybody" until you just put up a new one to shut us up? I miss you!
DAAAAANNNNNIIIIIIEEEEEEL!!!!

You All Everybody! Ha ha, good times with the little hobbit. Still, I don't really miss him. Daniel, PLEASE come back!

And LIT, looking forward to your latest and greatest theory.

loveSteamyKeamy, the numbers thing is cool. Nah, it wouldn't make you evil...oh wait, do birds crash into walls and die around you sometimes? Just asking.

and yea, this is my time traveling kid.

and also, I have always had a feeling the "you all everybody" song has some meaning. No real reason, it just seems like the writers could have come up with something that made more sense for Charlie's only famous song...unless it ties in later with something.

I tried before to turn the letters around and stuff. Nothing.

And whatever happened to Charlie's ring? I can see Aaron coming back to the island some day, putting on the ring, and suddenly discovering his super powers or something.

Or maybe Claire will put on the ring and turn back into Claire. LIVE Claire.
