Jughead

Welcome back to another edition of the "Lost" Diary.

Being a fan of "Lost" is a lot like being a fan of Prince.  Let me explain.

Both have hugely devout followings that speak languages all their own. Non-fans don't see why us fans still follow them. But we know better.

But here's my point -- within our community, criticism is often looked at as treason. I've spent my fair share of time on Prince-related message boards and let me tell you, dissenters are often met with hostility. I hate to break it to you, but Prince does make a bad song/album every now and again. It doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, just means it wasn't up to par.

Same goes with "Lost." As a "Lost" fan, I was supposed to LOVE the premiere, but I didn't. And, of course, a lot of commenters took me to task for it. HOW DARE I??? True criticism, the criticism that is truly worth paying attention to, comes from people who truly love something. Who else would you trust to tell you the truth than the people who care most about you?

I hope that made sense.

Anyway, for all you "Lost" Diary newbies, here's how it goes: I gather with a group of friends watching "Lost," writing what happens on the show as it happens, and throwing in my two cents along the way. The gang is back together -- I am chilling at Ari and Lauren's place (yes, they live together now) and it feels like old times again. Let's roll:

9:00
-- Efren Salonga!!! God bless closed captioning.

9:01 -- The sight of a pregnant Penny just made every woman watching go "Awwww" in unison.

9:02 -- It's a boy!

9:03 -- We're back on the boat with Desmond and his son, which means we have a Desmond Desmond-centric episode on our hands. They are by far the best, so my excitement level has just been tripled.

9:04 -- If you had to bet, when it's all said and done, do you think things end well for Penny and Desmond? I don't think the producers would do that to us, but sometimes ... I don't know.

9:05 -- Is Faraday incapable of speaking above a loud whisper?

9:07 -- "You just couldn't stay away, could you?" -- random chick with a gun who rolls with a posse of archers. Seriously, archers?

9:10 -- "I don't understand how this works anymore than you do." -- Everyone. Whoops, I mean Desmond.

9:11 -- "I'll be back by dark. And then I'm done, forever. I promise." -- Desmond. Hang on a second, I have to look up the definition of the word FORESHADOWING.

9:12 -- Lauren thinks Juliet got botox over the summer. I don't agree. Thoughts?

9:13 -- I took Latin in high school. It is doing me exactly as much good now as it did in high school – none whatsoever. Come to think of it, it has NEVER done me any good. Thank you, New York City Board of Education!

9:14 -- Miles is having one of his episodes, which apparently means they just walked over a fresh grave – four dead U.S. soldiers. Nothing unusual about that.

9:15 -- It's an old school Others camp, yet Richard is the same age as always. Again, nothing unusual about that.

9:19 -- Desmond is trying to find Faraday's mom, but apparently there is no record of any Faraday having ever worked at Oxford. It's like he's been erased ... from existence. What movie is that line from for 10 points? Answer later.

9:22 -- "Rumor has it he was trying to send rat's brains back through time." -- creepy janitor. Just the brains? Really?

9:25 -- Of all the ways to tell a woman you love her, doing it while trying to convince a guy who never ages that you're with the American military and trying to defuse a hydrogen bomb gone awry has got to be the most romantic way I have ever heard of.

9:26 -- What other things are taught in Others 101? Polar bear hunting? Smoke monster evasion techniques?

9:27 -- "Is Richard there?" -- Juliet

9:28 -- "Because he's one of my people." -- Locke

9:32 -- So best I can figure, somehow Daniel drove his wife/girlfriend insane, then left her.

9:33 -- Ok, now it seems Mr. Widmore was funding Faraday and is now taking care of Teresa. Quick question -- if Desmond keeps meeting these people who know Faraday, and he's looking for Faraday's mom (not him), why doesn't he ask any of them where she is?

9:34 -- Faraday told Charlotte he meant what he said. Nerd love is hot.

9:35 --  "You think he knows this island better than I do?" -- some Other idiot. Yes, Other idiot, I think he does.

9:36 -- Yes, I heard Sawyer's "I'm an Other, you're an Other reunion" line, I just didn't think it was funny.

9:38 -- That's kind of a huge bomb you got there Faraday. Best of luck.

9:43 -- The name of the bomb is Jughead.

9:44
-- I don't know a lot about hydrogen bombs, but I am pretty sure they aren't supposed to have cracks in them.

9:45 -- Trying to explain to someone that you're from the future is not as easy as it sounds. In fact, it can make you sound quite crazy.

9:46 -- "Are they from the future too?" -- Leader of the Other Archer Brigade

9:47 -- Desmond just barged right into Mr. Widmore's office. What do you call it in when something that was foreshadowed begins to come to fruition?

9:48 -- Widmore tells Desmond Faraday's mother is in Los Angeles -- which just about clinches the fact that she is Mrs. Hawking.

9:49 -- Widmore tells Desmond to find Faraday's mom and then go back in hiding -- which actually makes sense. He's still worried about Ben killing Penny.

9:50 -- "Jacob sent me." -- Locke

9:51 -- "Put the gun down, WIdmore." -- Richard. Shhh, if you listen carefully you can hear my mind blowing.

9:56 -- Desmond named the baby Charlie. Kinda cool. Oh, the answer from before was "Back to the Future."

9:57 -- Locke just told Richard to go visit him as a kid -- which, of course, we know Richard does. Very nice little moment.

9:58 -- Before Richard can tell Locke anything, the island conveniently skips again. Don't you hate when that happens?

9:59 -- Charlotte's not looking so hot. Is it just me or does she need a Constant right about now?

Ok, before I get into anything else, I have to share a Faraday’s mom/Mrs. Hawking connection I found while trolling through Lostpedia after the show.

So I went to Lostpedia to check what the Leader of the Other Archer Brigade's name was – it’s Ellie. Ellie can be short for Eloise. What is Mrs. Hawking's first name? Yup, Eloise. So, if Mrs. Hawking is Faraday’s mom, then the Leader of the Other Archer Brigade's who was marching Faraday around with a gun (who he said looked familiar to him) is actually his mom. Again, "Back to the Future" rears its head. Great Scott!

I give tonight's episode a solid B (unlike last week’s pity B, not to be confused with pity sex). I thought there was a lot more of people running around and doing nothing, but this week at least we got a few cool revelations. I had always though Widmore had been on the island before (I think he did the same thing Ben did -- move the island -- and, like Ben, has been looking for it ever since), but to see the young Widmore was just cool.

And you had to love the scene with Locke and Richard that explains the episode where Richard keeps popping up in young Locke's life -- though it is telling that young Locke didn't pick the compass like we supposed to. Is Locke not the island savior we thought he was?

So here is my question to you this week -- I am a huge fan of shows/movies that play with the concept of time ("Memento" being the most famous). But the "Lost" time travel arc is becoming a tad distracting. Thoughts?

Don't forget to send in your questions for the LDQA. I hope this week's gave the newbie's an idea of how it works. Anything and everything is on the table – ask away! Send me a question at questions@thelostdiary.com and please put LDQA in the subject line.

LDQA -- 1/28

Welcome to the first LDQA of 2009.

For those of you that don't know, here's how it works -- ask me a question, I answer it. Doesn't have to be about "Lost." Doesn't have to be about TMZ. Doesn't have to be about Prince. Doesn't have to be about Jennifer Love Hewitt. Ok, maybe that one.

Anyway, here we go ...

Q -- Do we know exactly who Mrs. Hawkins is?  When I saw her I recognized her from the bit w/ Des.  But I really cant remember details.  What do we know about her?  I felt confused to see her again. Can you post a summary of what we know/don't know about her thus far? -- Cheryl

A -- It's that time of year again, folks -- time for me to tell you all about Lostpedia. Look, no one can remember everything that goes on on "Lost." I watch the show twice a week, write a 1,000 word article about it, then get a couple hundred emails about it -- and even I forget shit. Bookmark Lostpedia and use it without caution.

Q -- Hi...long time reader, first time question-asker. We can ask anything? Okay...Jennifer Love Hewitt??? Really??? Seriously???? -- Holly

A -- Very seriously. I created a top 5 list like 10 years ago and she was #1. I don't even have a list anymore -- it's JLH and then everyone else.

Q -- What are the odds that the baby in the very beginning (of Dr. Marvin whatever) is Myles? -- Erin

A -- I like that one. That would make Myles the child of a Dharma person and maybe Faraday ...

Q -- Do you think that Mrs. Hawkins is Daniel Faraday's mother? -- Caroline

A -- Yes, I wrote a whole thing about this at the end of last week's episode, but then killed it. I thought the last scene was going to be Desmond showing up at Oxford, so I thought we'd find out Mrs. Hawkins was Faraday's mom then. But when Hawkins wasn't at Oxford, I killed the whole thing. Oh well.

Q --   I don't really have a question...its more like a comment. If I weren't married and you didn't live in California and we didn't know each other I would totally marry you! You make me laugh out loud when I read your blog. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your diary almost as much as the episodes. -- Amie

A -- Thanks -- feel free to point your friends who are actually single and actually live in California my way.

Q -- Glad to have you back! My question isn't related to Lost, since I am still reeling from how great it is that it is back on, but how much that episode disappointed. You mentioned The Wire and The Shield, but what about Dexter??  Didn't this last season blow you away? Wasn't Jimmy Smits amazing??  I can only be led to believe that you didn't like this season (horrors), so tell me what you thought about it. -- Tristan

A -- "Dexter's" third season started slowly, but really did pick up for me -- think "Lost's" third season. Definitely a top 5 show currently on TV for me.

Q -- My dear Daniel please clear this up for me. Faraday gave this impassioned "if it didn't happen in the past, you can't change it" speech at least twice in this episode. So how is Locke killing people they encounter? How was Locke in danger of bleeding to death after he was shot? If they can't change the past then aren't they invincible for now? Or is Faraday full of crap? Or am I just dumb? -- Jen

A -- I think Faraday's speech was just a way for the writer's to say: "Look, we're getting confused here. Even we can't keep track of it all. So basically we're going to make the rules of time travel that there are no rules. Anything can happen. No confusion. Thanks." Now, for this question ...

Q -- When the island disappeared, Richard and The Others disappeared from Locke so it seems they are traveling with the island so to speak or do not travel at all and are a fixed point at the what ever time it is.  Juliet was an Other - yet she is with the Losties.  What makes her so different then the rest of The Others that she is with the Losties in this time travel process?  And what about Cindy the flight attendant and the kids - are they with The Others or traveling through time?  I guess what do you think the criteria is for being a time traveler versus standing still.  Being new to flight 815 is not the answer if Juliet and then Cindy/kids are exceptions.  The only thing might be loyalty to Jacob or something really weird then???

A -- My point exactly. When there are no rules, you can just do whatever you want.

Q -- Hi Daniel, I was just wondering if you had watched JJ's new show "Fringe".  I really like it.  You are sort of lost like on "Lost", but it's a very interesting show, you have the government and big corporation and you don't know who is really bad or good. -- Shell

A -- Definitely getting better. Walter is the man.

Q -- Do you think will will see Charlie ever again...alive or dead? The Oceanic 6 told the public Charlie, Boone, and Libby survived the initial plane crash. Will those names become more important to the story? -- Amanda

A -- Charlie is dead, but yes, we'll probably see him again (see: Hurley, crazy). As for those other three names -- that pissed me off last season and still pisses me off now. There was NO reason for them to say those names unless they bring it up again and explain it. This will bother me for awhile.

Q -- Could Time traveling LOCKE be Jacob and is why he hasn't "faced Jacob"? -- Donna

A -- God, I hope not.

Q -- Just curious - is that the thin JLH or the chunky JLH or it doesn't really matter - you will take any JLH?

A -- Any JLH. She's GORGEOUS. Period.

Q -- My question is are you still working for TMZ?  I don't think I've seen you on the show in quite some time.  Are you more behind the scenes now?  Either that, or a) I've completely forgotten what you look like or b) you had major plastic surgery. -- Dana

A -- Yup, still at the ol' TMZ. I am never one to try and be on camera, so you don't see me often.

Q -- What would you ultimately like to see happen on LOST. How would you like it to end? Also, do you still LOVE prince and why? -- Kat

A -- Don't have any "Lost" wishes, per se. As for Prince, yes I still love him and there is no why. It just is.

Q -- What books by Stephen King have you read? -- Anamaria

A -- "It." That's it. But I was a big Dean Koontz fan when I was younger. Don't read much anymore, there's too much TV to watch.

Q -- What do you think is more accurate:
A) Ben sent the lawyers to scare Kate into running back to the island.
B) Sun sent the lawyer because she blames Kate for Jin not getting on the chopper -- Emily

A -- B. Love this theory and my friend Chris suggested it to me last week. It's fantastic and I hope it's true.

Because You Left/The Lie

Welcome (finally) to another edition of the "Lost" Diary.

It's been a long time, hasn't it? Since we last spoke, two of the best shows ever -- "The Wire" and "The Shield" -- have ended their runs, leaving "Lost" as my undisputed favorite show still on TV. With two seasons left, I always get people asking me questions like, "What if it all turns out to be some girl's dream or something?" Simple -- I would end up in the Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute. "Checkmate, Mr. Eko."

For all you "Lost" Diary newbies, here's how it goes: I gather with a group of friends watching "Lost," writing what happens on the show as it happens, and throwing in my two cents along the way. I am watching tonight's episode of "Lost" solo -- Ari and I had a late basketball game, so I am watching East Coast feed (which isn't in HD), so I can get this done at a reasonable time (ed's note: How'd that turn out?). Anyway, let's roll:

9:00 -- It's 8:15 in the morning as the show starts. Of course it is. What other possible time could it be during the first few seconds of the new season of "Lost"?

9:01 -- I was talking to my friend Chris today about what the first scene would be -- we guessed someone, unseen, doing something that seems perfectly normal, but isn't. This would certainly qualify. BTW -- I think we're watching Dr. Pierre Chang/Marvin Candle from all those orientation videos.

9:02 -- 1 for 1 on predictions. Someone should keep score this season.

9:03 -- Dr. Candle has been summoned to the Orchid. From the ultrasound thing he's been shown, we can see the wheel that makes the island disappear. I think it's a boy!

9:04 -- "That energy, once we can harness it correctly, it's going to allow us to manipulate time." -- Dr Candle. That's the first completely ridiculous quote of the season ... that makes total sense on "Lost."

9:05 -- And Farraday shows up. How is that possible?

9:06 -- Back in the present day (if there is such a thing), Ben and Jack are planning to steal Locke's body and pick up Hurley.

9:07 -- Jack is shaving off his ridiculous beard. I might actually miss that thing.

9:08 -- Apparently Locke told Jack that everyone would die if he didn't come back, but didn't tell him what happened after the island moved.

9:09 -- Now we're flashing back/forward/I don't know when to right after the island moved. Locke has been left by himself, in the pouring rain, Faraday and the boat are fine (they're "inside the radius"), and Juliet and Sawyer are just chilling on the beach. Rose and Bernard are freaking out because the camp has gone.

9:10 -- Faraday is back on the island and apparently is about to explain WTF just happened. Should be good.

9:11 -- He wants them to take him to something manmade, and Juliet suggest the blownup hatch. Odds it isn't blown up anymore?

9:12 -- "Your camp isn't gone. It hasn't been built yet." -- Faraday

9:14 -- Back off the island, Kate is being asked to take a blood test to prove Aaron is her kid. Who wants to know?

9:15 -- In old school Kate fashion, as soon as trouble come calling, Kate gets to running.

9:16 -- Sawyer just bitch slapped Faraday. Not cool.

9:18 -- I think Locke just watched Eko's brother's plane crash. I could be wrong, but it makes sense.

9:19 -- YES!!!! 2 for 2.

9:20 -- How does Locke not realize this? But here's a question -- if Locke takes the plane down now, does Boone not die?

9:21 -- Welcome back, Ethan.

9:24 -- After a brief run-in with Ethan, Locke and everyone have "skipped" again.

9:25 -- Sun is being detained at an airport by Charles Widmore, of course. And he's pissed.

9:26 -- "To kill Benjamin Linus." -- Sun

9:27 -- Getting Hurley is going to be tough now, since he's wanted for murder and all.

9:28 -- Wanted for murder, on the run from Widmore and Ben, where does Hurley go? For fast food chicken. Of course.

9:29 -- OK, so apparently the Ben/Sayid marriage is over and it was a messy breakup.

9:30 -- If I ever die and come back as a fictional character, I hope it's Sayid.

9:31 -- Ok, minor qualm here -- Hurley is standing outside on the balcony with a gun. Some guy, who is standing over a dead body, takes the fastest cell phone picture I have ever seen. Have you ever tried to work a camera on a shit cell phone? It sucks.

9:34 -- Ok, the hatch is blown up, so I am wrong on that one. But -- I have a feeling it won't stay that way.

9:36 -- Faraday just basically explained that this whole time travelling island thing doesn't have any permanent effects. Bet that makes it easier for the writers of the show to keep track of.

9:37 -- Back to Locke ... who will he run into now? My money is on Ben or Ben's dad.

9:38 -- Nope, it's Richard.

9:39 -- "When am I?" -- Locke. No one "has time" to explain anything tonight.

9:40 -- "It points north, John." -- Richard. Finally, a little humor. Didn't Richard offer young Locke a compass?

9:41 -- "You're gonna have to die, John." -- Richard. That sucks.

9:46 -- "Son of a ..." -- Sawyer

9:47 -- "... bitch." -- Sawyer

9:47 -- "The hatch, it's back." -- Juliet. 3 for 3!!!

9:48 -- Hey Sawyer, listen to the uber-genius when he talks. Just a thought.

9:49 -- Charlotte has a nosebleed. In the history of TV, random nosebleeds have never been a good thing.

9:51 -- "Find my mother. Her name is ..." Faraday to Desmond.

9:52 -- Ah, Desmond and Penny. Every girl watching "Lost" just applauded a little bit.

9:53 -- "Oxford." -- Desmond

9:57 -- Lawnmower Man is back! Everyone is trying to decide on "the lie."

9:59 -- "Bloop." -- Hurley

10:00 -- Hurley is pissed at Sayid for going along with the lie. That'll come back somehow.

10:01 -- Ana Lucia!!!! Dude, that is weird, right?

10:02 -- "What if I were real?" -- Ana Lucia. Props to Michelle Rodriguez on the cameo. I like imaginary Ana Lucia more than the real thing.

10:03 -- "Oh yeah, Libby says hi." -- Ana Lucia. That line gets a 10 out of 10. Maybe an 11.

10:07 -- I love Rose and Bernard, but their bickering is a getting a tad old.

10:08 -- Sawyer just put a shirt on. I wonder if ABC can track how many women just changed the channel at that precise moment.

10:09 -- Hurley is the least sly person possibly ever.

10:10 -- I keep waiting for Hurley to screw over Sayid. That's what that flashback seemed to hint at.

10:11 -- Kate's hotness/annoying ratio is leveling off. Unless she's soaking wet, I really don't want to see her.

10:12 -- And really -- this high-powered mystery man just sends a lawyer to Kate's house? No surveillance, really?

10:13 -- Unknown caller, great. Any guesses?

10:14 -- No druggies allowed on the island, Jack.

10:15 -- "He's dead, isn't he?" -- Jack. Well, you never know ...

10:16 -- Hurley's dad is watching that stupid show that makes me think of ... uh oh. A rage blackout is coming. Must think happy thoughts. Did you read last week Jennifer Love Hewitt broke off her engagement? That was good news ...

(Whew, that was close. Where was I?)

10:17 -- "Hey dad, how's it going?" -- Hurley. Oh him? He's just a passed out Iraqi mercenary, that's all.

10:21 -- Everyone thinks Hurley is crazy, which he is most of the time. But explaining what happened with Sayid to Cheech makes him sound downright nuts. Of course, it's all true.

10:22 -- Turns out Hurley and Cheech need a doctor to wake up Sayid. Gee, let's think --- does Hurley know any doctors?

10:23 -- So it turns out Sun is the one who called Kate. Not all that surprising.

10:24 -- Ben is at a butcher shop and pulls number 342 -- as in 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. Turns out the butcher shop is a front for some sort of exiled Others underground missionary group.

10:25 -- Rose just put Neil on timeout. No time travel for a month.

10:26 -- So something is obviously going on with Charlotte and Faraday totally knows what's happening.

10:27 -- Ok, sometimes you just have to believe me with this stuff -- as I was picking up my remote to pause the show and write "What are the odds Neil dies before the hour is up?" he got hit in the chest with a fiery arrow. Apparently either I now have the ability to simply wish things to happen (Is that Jennifer Love Hewitt at my door? Nope, didn't work) or this episode has been a tad predictable.

10:32 -- Ok, two things about the fire arrow rain storm that just hit the island. First, that was a shitload of arrows -- way too many to be plausible. Two, Juliet and Sawyer will be having sex very soon. I'd say within the first five episodes.

10:33 -- They are drawing out this Hurley/Sayid on the run story too long. Hurley's parents are just not interesting in the slightest.

10:36 -- Ok, I really only have one thing to say about the great scene between Sun and Kate. Sun is just awesome. The character, the actress, everything. This scene just shows how complex and interesting she is, while highlighting how lame and stupid Kate is. And don't forget -- Sun blames Jack for Jin's death. Just a great scene. Oh wait, another thing -- I've said before that I think the length of a scene is proportional to how good the scene is. Is it me or was that the first really good scene we've had so far? And it also happened to be the longest. Just saying.

10:37 -- Jack is taking Sayid to the hospital and hopefully this will end this whole stupid storyline.

10:41 -- "He is my friend. He just also has this double life where he does crazy ninja moves and spy stuff." --Hurley

10:43 -- Hurley just explained the first four seasons of "Lost" in about a minute and I am pretty sure it was all just one long sentence.

10:44 -- "I dont understand you, but I believe you." Hoogo's mom.

10:45 -- Quick question, did they explain why the island seems to have stopped "skipping"?

10:50 -- "Son of a bitch." -- Jack. Sounds better coming from Sawyer.

10:51 -- Random thought I had after Sayid asked Jack who else knew Hurley was at his parents house -- is Ben just using Jack to get to Hurley? Is it possible, somehow, Hurley is the only one that really matters?

10:52 -- "In their defense, I am not an easy person to trust." -- Ben. I'll take UNDERSTATEMENTS for $200 please, Alex!

10:54 -- "Never, dude." -- Hurley

10:55 -- Here he comes to save the day ... John Locke is on his way!

10:56 -- Last prediction of the night -- the crazy old woman with the chalkboard and the pendulum and the computer from the 1970s is Mrs Hawkins, the crazy woman from the Desmond flashback a few seasons ago that told him he was going to screw things up with Penny.

10:57 -- "Then God help us all." -- Mrs. Hawkins. 4 for 4, but I believe me -- I think everyone scored 100% tonight.

Alright -- so what did we learn tonight?

The island is skipping and only Locke (or maybe Desmond or maybe Ben and everyone else) can stop it ... Sayid and Ben had some kind of falling out ... The laws of time and space seem to apply differently to Desmond than anyone else.

Not a strong night for reveals, was it?

I can't say this episode really did a lot for me. I don't feel like it advanced the plot much or told me anything great I wanted to know. There were certainly no Tivo Moments and no truly great scenes. I was kinda underwhelmed the entire time.

I give the episode a B. I feel like in most circumstances this episode would have been a C or a D, but it's been like 45 months since the last episode and I guess I'm in a little bit of a "take what I can get" mood when it comes to the show.

So here is my question to you -- did the episode deliver like you hoped? Was I expecting too much to soon?

As always, I'd like to bring back the LDQA on Mondays. So if you have a question -- and it can be about "Lost" or anything ... seriously anything -- send it in. The more the merrier, feel free to have fun. Send an email to questions@thelostdiary.com and make sure the subject is just LDQA. I get so much spam, it's hard to keep track of it all.

Until then ...

Um, You See What Had Happened Was ...

Due to a 9:15 playoff basketball game, coupled with the fact that I have to be at work at 5:30 AM, I did not finish watching "Lost."

I decided rather than half-ass it and speed through it and write quickly, I would just finish it after work today. Hopefully I can get all done by 8:00 PM ET.

Until then, wish me luck completely avoiding everyone and everything.

If you guys want to chat about the show here, feel free. Until then ...

I Have to Go Back!

You know how sometimes you don't call a girl back, and then a week becomes two becomes a month ... and then you pretty much can't call without it being terribly awkward? You don't have a great excuse (I was working a lot, my grandmother was sick, I got rabies) so you dread calling, even though you want to and eventually you never do and you just ruin the whole thing?

That was me.

Somehow not posting anything new became a week became a month became six months.

But "Lost" is back. So I am back. And I hope you're back too.

Some random things that I can think of that I want to mention since it's been six months and all.

-- My favorite movie of 2008 was probably "Religulous." I agree with Maher 100%, but I think the movie would appeal to all sorts of people.

-- There is no question "The Wire" is the greatest show of all time. There is also now no question "The Shield" is second. This final season scarred me emotionally for like a solid week. If you've never seen it, I recommend it highly, but only in small doses. It will drive you nuts.

PS -- I completely destroyed this site somehow and I can't seem to revive it. Anyone know anything about this damn Movable Type bullshit? Stay tuned ...

PPS -- Don't forget about www.myspace.com/lost_diary. When in doubt, there's always that.
